[ Soon after LILITH hands the decision to Outsiders, Ratio makes a post on the ocular network. ]

I hope you have all had ample time to rest from the aftermath of the kaiju's attack. However, it is time to turn our attention to the future. We have been given an opportunity to decide our next step.

1: Stay in Seoul and assist the city.
2: Chase after the escaped Imugi.

I imagine opinions may be divided on this front, so I would like to open the forum for discussion. Please state your choice and provide thorough reasoning for your decision. You will not convince anyone with a half-baked argument. You may respond to any comment as you please, but remember to stay civil and do not resort to derogatory or inflammatory comments. Should you break this rule, I will revoke your comment permissions.

Keep in mind that your choice will have a grave effect on the people of this planet. It is not one to be made lightly, so do not treat it with levity.

What else? We go out there and finish the job. If not, it'll just come back here and wreak more havoc, which is going to cost more infrastructure. I also know that my team in particular isn't going to let this go that easily.

Source: I've hunted Whales for a living that are much more frightening than this one, if I'm being honest. This is no different.

Decision: Let's stick around!
Reason:
- It's better to focus on what we can do in the now, for those suffering around us.
- How many of us are actually well enough to give chase?
- It'll foster better relations with the base here in Seoul, for those who're preoccupied with that... they'll be more likely to grant us help when we actually find the thing.
Other: One step at a time! That's just common sense!

A theme I've seen from day one is that the people here are not expired trev to take care care of themselves. If they're so focused on making more of us arrive here to fight these creatures, then so be it. Let the people learn to do something on their own for once, if they're unwilling to put themselves in danger.

I understand the need for aid and I do sympathize with those in the city. But if we let it go, it could come back and do worse.

Given past experience here and at home, it's best not to let these things get away.

Decision: Distribute our forces to address both objectives.
Reason:
- We have access to a range of skill sets, which should be taken into consideration in this instance as well.
- Some of us will be better suited to providing assistance in Seoul, while those able to pursue the Imugi and withstand another encounter can focus their efforts on this task.

it's not like we're exhausted, our suits useless against rift poisoning, and risking the possibility of running into more monsters!

To whom it likely does not concern,

Do you not believe it rather irresponsible of them to hoist such a decision on the backs of those who could less about this land? Some would even say it's quite a dangerous sentiment. Considering neither of us has much to lose in this instance— convince me. If you succeed in moving my heart, I shall vote as you desire.

Decision: 2. Chase the kaiju!
Reason:
- To prevent further destruction
- Maybe we can capture it to study
- There's no point in rebuilding until we're sure the current threat is contained.
Other: No offense, but

Decision: Stay

Reason: - There are no guarantees we'll find and catch the monster.
- It is wounded and wary. Even if we do find it, our forces are exhausted. This could lead to a disaster.
- The people need our help right now.

Other: We know the monster and its modus operandi. If we track it and delay our attack, we have a chance at catching it unaware when it lets its guard down.

I understand people are afraid we may lose track of it if we wait. However, society in Seoul is on the verge of collapse right now. To defeat the monster would be an empty victory if it comes at the cost of the local human civilization.

Decision: technically both
Reason:

not everyone is suited to fight the kaiju. there are also those too tired and injured, so it would be wiser to have them stay here

vice-versa, those who can still fight or want to give chase shouldn't need to stay. what's stopping people wanting to fight from going after it anyway?

plus it gives us a better range if there's groups in both areas, we can liaise if anything happens

Other: if it's one or the other, personally i would prefer to stay. the people here still need help and i would rather not leave them undefended

Decision: Chase.
Reason: To prevent it from coming back and harming another city and citizens.
Other: Don't give it time to heal and come back stronger.

More importantly, what is everyone's condition now?

There's no point in trying to help or giving chase if you can't be useful in the first place.

some creature's out there gettin' ready for a second go on the city
let the wounded stay while the rest get the jump on it
hell, they barely sent us shit while we were out in the middle of nowhere for a week

Didn't the report from LILITH say that this Kaiju could be pregnant? Or she might have recently had babies?
What happens if we leave them alone in the mountains? Wouldn't it cause even worse destruction later?

Whatever we go for, the other option is going to bite us in the ass later no matter what. It's gonna suck, but we can figure it out.

The city's not going anywhere for one or two days. That dragon is!

Reason: Win to save. It's wounded, tired, and tracked. We don't have a better chance to kill it.
Other: The city isn't going to implode in one or two fucking days. They have a military and police force to hold it down until we get back.

Decision: Chase it.
Reason: We are here to save the world as a whole. Not individual people. It is a waste of our time and energy to lose sight of the real goal when making decisions.
Other: Do these people truly wish to preserve their world? Are they even willing to change themselves for it? Grow stronger? Wiser? Better than their predecessors?

Humanity caused their current problems. Kaiju or not. That we are here to essentially bail them out does not mean they should sit idle. We have done much for them, already, and been forced to fend for ourselves as well. We must preserve ourselves, as we have no idea for how long we will be forced to do the labors for these people.

IT's too dangerous to let it go, especially if it has hatchlings or eggs. We need to finish it. I'm going after it.

Decision: Stay
Reason: A warzone is a warzone. Civilians shouldn't have to pay the price for something they didn't ask for.
Other: If they could send two teams, we could chase it and still protect the civilians. I will stay even if they order me to go.
