[ Soon after LILITH hands the decision to Outsiders, Ratio makes a post on the ocular network. ]
I hope you have all had ample time to rest from the aftermath of the kaiju's attack. However, it is time to turn our attention to the future. We have been given an opportunity to decide our next step.
I imagine opinions may be divided on this front, so I would like to open the forum for discussion. Please state your choice and provide thorough reasoning for your decision. You will not convince anyone with a half-baked argument. You may respond to any comment as you please, but remember to stay civil and do not resort to derogatory or inflammatory comments. Should you break this rule, I will revoke your comment permissions.
Keep in mind that your choice will have a grave effect on the people of this planet. It is not one to be made lightly, so do not treat it with levity.
You may use the form below to keep your comment clear and easy to read.
[ ooc: This is meant to be a mingle text log! Feel free to comment on each other's posts, yadda yadda go wild! Also the form is only a recommendation, feel free to disregard Ratio's instructions and annoy him. ]

1: Stay in Seoul and assist the city.
2: Chase after the escaped Imugi.

I will not have a god who is so afraid of losing his own divinity lecture others on why they have to die.
[ She's not forgotten his excuse for siding with his "Master" and refusing to help Chaldea challenge destiny. ]
The way humans are scared of death and avoid the very mention of it has long been a source of chagrin to me. You, however, are far too eager to accept it, Tezcatlipoca. So much so, you accept this outcome without fighting against it, without looking for an alternative.
Death has meaning because life is precious. When you treat life as a thing easily discarded, then there is no growth to be found in the conflict so important to you.
You must fight for life if you truly want death to be meaningful.

[ then maybe you shouldn't be so vague, buddy? have you considered that??? no, he has not, because he's not stopping. ]
do you think I disagree with you? of course it's the fight that makes it meaningful. and of course I'm eager to accept it. not concepts at odds
call that a cultural difference, probably. my people weren't scared of death. they'd fight with their all and honor and return every drop of blood we'd given them, least so far as the metaphor goes.
[ and then, after a moment, and extremely annoyingly: ]
though feel I should note, I'll go with whatever. think it's wiser to cut off its head before it gets worse, regardless of casualties. but if the people want to ask for my help instead, that's that, ain't it?

[ She's not going to even try and pretend she's impartial here. She's tired, she's spent all her mana, she wants to sleep and here's this guy who wants to debate for the sake of annoying her.
What has she done to deserve this? Perhaps this is the real punishment for having broken her oath. ]
If you plan to follow the will of the people here, then why did you even contact me? To speak only in half-truths and cause more misunderstandings?
had to do that other tag first bc lol,
[ ...granted, she might not know. but. ]
offering extra information and perspective is the idea. it's not a half-truth to say there's about to be more of the fuckers wandering around
can she trade him with his sister
[ She can tell he's about to drop some diss against his sister and she's cutting that before it can happen! ]
Tell me, Tezcatlipoca. If someone offered a third solution, one that involved no death and fulfilled both objectives. Would you take it?
FOR HER SAKE I WISH!!!
[ But he doesn't elaborate further. Part of it is because she's asked a better question, but there's part of it that does lament their fate, somewhat. It might not be to the same extent as Quetzalcoatl, but what could Izcalli be but expressing that disappointment? But that gesture, just like now, is too vague to be understood easily.
Also, how their pantheon plays into the Age of Gods is never explained and it drives me crazy, ]
...well, yeah. wouldn't LOVE it, since you're just taking on a debt, more or less. but sure. if that's possible, then doing both is definitely the best option.
no subject
There is no taking on a debt. I understand you see those deaths as an inevitability. And this is exactly why humanity rejected us. Their potential surpasses ours.
By trying to force your rules upon them, you are not helping them.
Perhaps it is not them who should adapt to your rules, but you to theirs. For better or worse, the future of our kind is in the hands of humanity.
no subject
our future doesn't concern me. never has. despite what you might think, I'm always concerned about the future of the people.
[ which surely makes his allegiance with a Lostbelt odd, but that's the secret, isn't it? ]
already said I'd be fine with whatever's decided, didn't I?
no subject
She knows there's more to it, but she's so done. She wants sleep! ]
Then we no longer need to speak.
Farewell.
[ Little does she know he's stalking her other threads and about to say horrible things!! ]
