[ Soon after LILITH hands the decision to Outsiders, Ratio makes a post on the ocular network. ]
I hope you have all had ample time to rest from the aftermath of the kaiju's attack. However, it is time to turn our attention to the future. We have been given an opportunity to decide our next step.
I imagine opinions may be divided on this front, so I would like to open the forum for discussion. Please state your choice and provide thorough reasoning for your decision. You will not convince anyone with a half-baked argument. You may respond to any comment as you please, but remember to stay civil and do not resort to derogatory or inflammatory comments. Should you break this rule, I will revoke your comment permissions.
Keep in mind that your choice will have a grave effect on the people of this planet. It is not one to be made lightly, so do not treat it with levity.
You may use the form below to keep your comment clear and easy to read.
[ ooc: This is meant to be a mingle text log! Feel free to comment on each other's posts, yadda yadda go wild! Also the form is only a recommendation, feel free to disregard Ratio's instructions and annoy him. ]

1: Stay in Seoul and assist the city.
2: Chase after the escaped Imugi.

@HTKRIZO
how're folks 'sposed to do that when emotions are high, huh
and while you're all wastin' time fillin' out surveys,
some creature's out there gettin' ready for a second go on the city
let the wounded stay while the rest get the jump on it
hell, they barely sent us shit while we were out in the middle of nowhere for a week

not have occurred with a calmer mind.
I'm glad you understand the urgency of the situation, but that is precisely why we must evaluate our choice carefully. The beast has retreated with the intention of recovering from its wounds, which has afford us some time to recuperate and plan our next steps. We must decide what is the most efficient use of our abilities between these two objectives.
no subject
he's skimming straight to the end of all that. )
yeah?
the most efficient bein' chase and kill

but if even a genius like me got hit
i figure 'bout half of us must've knocked their head or been rift-afflicted

@goddess of death
There are no guarantees things will fare better when our circumstances are now worse. We can however guarantee the survival of civilization here by helping the people who need us.
no subject
guarantee it for how long, huh
these beasts are sorta like a calamity, and...
i've seen how fast they overrun a place

By the time we return, there may no longer be people to save.
no subject
stay and fling yer authority around
make sure the people got cover while we give chase
( the destruction is already evident here. )

Sniff. ]
I cannot.
Defying an order may weaken LILITH's authority. That in itself could be justified...
However, I am worried there are certain individuals among us right now who are enemies of humanity. And they would exploit such an opportunity to sow chaos.
@MONEY$HOT
doing better, izou?
[ what's that mean ]
no subject
it's gonna take more than the wilderness to beat a genius like me
@onestepforward
It takes two seconds for someone with half a brain to fill it out, Izou! It's not like anyone's asking for your chicken scratch of an autograph!
Anyway, we're gonna keep getting nothing if we don't prove ourselves willing to help rebuild what we can. You have to think of the long term.
[ "emotions running high" she's perfectly calm thanks ]

yeah?
well, i proved myself plenty out there and got shit for it

This isn't our "home base". But if we help people the operatives in LILITH protect here, then those same operatives will be more likely to help us not only in tracking down the kaiju, but giving us the gear we need to do so now that we understand its patterns a little more and what we can do.
This has never been an individual effort. Don't expect an individual reward, unless you manage to really mess up a kaiju the way others have in the past.
no subject
however, )
those same operatives ain't got a choice whether we put our chase on pause or not
if they wanna protect the whole damn timeline they'll be out there regardless
and if they ain't... then they're depending on us
so damn right i expect all that and more
for their sake, we oughta shut this down now so more don't die
no subject
I get that, but... I don't feel right about leaving them in need. Especially when so many people are taking advantage of the aftermath.
[ just like when a wing falls. the nest that depends on it falls too, becoming a haven of ill repute and dangerous characters. ]
