I hope you have all had ample time to rest from the aftermath of the kaiju's attack. However, it is time to turn our attention to the future. We have been given an opportunity to decide our next step.

1: Stay in Seoul and assist the city.
2: Chase after the escaped Imugi.

I imagine opinions may be divided on this front, so I would like to open the forum for discussion. Please state your choice and provide thorough reasoning for your decision. You will not convince anyone with a half-baked argument. You may respond to any comment as you please, but remember to stay civil and do not resort to derogatory or inflammatory comments. Should you break this rule, I will revoke your comment permissions.

Keep in mind that your choice will have a grave effect on the people of this planet. It is not one to be made lightly, so do not treat it with levity.

I don't disagree that they need help. But if it comes back while we're helping we all may be in a much worse situation.

What if we hunt it and when we come back, those people are all dead?

It is impossible for us to predict the future. Either possibilities are equally possible and horrifying. However, there is a truth we cannot escape: we are tired. We gave it our all in the fight, and we will not be capable of doing so again soon.

Chasing it may lead to an unwinnable battle.

All of them dying is unlikely.

What is likely is that we'd be more exhausted and less mobilized in the event of a second attack. Relief efforts are likely to be just as taxing if not more so.

There's bound to be loss of life with either option but neutralizing the threat now will reduce the amount lost later.

Enough dying could lead to societal collapse.

Relief efforts will not fail if we are tired. Our mere presence will boost the moral of the people here. Should it attack again later, we will be ready.

One option clearly leads to less loss.

We won't be ready if we're otherwise occupied.

But I can see we're at an impasse here.

I'm willing to defer to the group opinion but I can see I'm as unlikely to convince you that neutralizing the creature then assisting is the correct course as you are of convincing me to do the opposite.

Ultimately, a choice will be made.

Though our opinions differ, I know you hold humanity's best interests at heart.

We will have to do with what our collective choice is.

You're right about that. And I have no problem doing either even if I think one choice is more correct. I hope the same's true for you as well.
