So, back home I was something of a priest, and I was thinking of offering my priestly services of confessions to those who are in need. Some of you might be asking whats a confession, or why should I bother? Well, let me tell ya! A confession is you admitting your sins and receiving penance and absolution. All that shit that’s bothering you? That bad thing you did? Or that good thing you didn’t do? Think of it as a ‘clean slate.’

And you don’t have to be religious. I think everybody deserves to get it all off their chest, ya know? Don’t need absolution? No problem, but how about an impartial, unbiased soul to unburden to? Feel guilty and need a way to feel better? I can suggest penance for that.

All I ask for in return is a donation. Not bad, right? All confessions stay in the confession booth, or inbox, however you feel comfortable doing it. I’m not here to share your secrets or judge. Anonymous is fine, just show proof that you donated.

C’mon, it’ll make ya feel good!

The church is the one who legitimizes the rule of the king.

Without the backing of the church, the royal family is unlikely to be able to secure the faith and the trust of the populace.

The king then relies on the church to provide resources in all things spiritual and material, as well as military, in case of contingencies.

In general, the church has always been a reliable partner; but in my time, its waning influence was a challenge.

not used to a world with kings, but can't deny the influence of the church over the people. what's the world like when people quit believing?

Not a possibility within my lifetime.

A world without the church ... well, the kingdom was forcibly overthrown in a bloody victory by the Adrestian empire, who conquered the continent and executed the king to achieve unification. Adrestia has no ties with the church.

do you believe things are destined to happen a certain way? like we're meant to meet who we meet, go through the trials we go through, play out roles for some god chosen purpose.

All royalty have duties and obligations to adhere to and deliver, so on that regard, I'll say things are destined to happen a certain way.
