I hope you have all had ample time to rest from the aftermath of the kaiju's attack. However, it is time to turn our attention to the future. We have been given an opportunity to decide our next step.

1: Stay in Seoul and assist the city.
2: Chase after the escaped Imugi.

I imagine opinions may be divided on this front, so I would like to open the forum for discussion. Please state your choice and provide thorough reasoning for your decision. You will not convince anyone with a half-baked argument. You may respond to any comment as you please, but remember to stay civil and do not resort to derogatory or inflammatory comments. It is impossible for us to predict the future. Either possibilities are equally possible and horrifying. However, there is a truth we cannot escape: we are tired. We gave it our all in the fight, and we will not be capable of doing so again soon.

Chasing it may lead to an unwinnable battle.

That's right. And not only their support, but that of people elsewhere. Countries we will visit in the future may not be so hospitable if they hear tales of how we abandoned the people here.

I agree, Malkuth.

A lot of people are short-sighted and do not realize how heavy the cost of a kaiju battle is - and how dangerous two in a row would be. I'm also worried other people we help in the future would be disinclined to trust us if it becomes well-known we abandon those in need.

I agree both would be ideal. But I am not sure we have the numbers to do this right now.

In the future, perhaps it would be best to select a number amongst us who will not partake in the kaiju battle. An emergency force who will be available to take care of any emergency happening in the wake of a battle.

I agree, but a problem is we all fought the kaiju. Had a number of us stayed behind in preparation for such an emergency, we would be capable of sending them after the kaiju.

Perhaps this is something we need to prepare for the next mission.

Half of our numbers were in Busan and failed to kill the kaiju before it could flee.

There are no guarantees things will fare better when our circumstances are now worse. We can however guarantee the survival of civilization here by helping the people who need us.

If this is true, then the situation is far worse than I imagined.

A mother will do anything she can to protect her offspring. If we chase her, her ferocity will be increased tenfold. Whereas our strength is diminished from the first fight.

We've already seen what damage two can do.. do we want a bunch of them causing destruction? Their nature is, by default, to be a threat.
