[ Shizuka is still getting used to the network, now her schemes of building a bakery is made public. She sits in panic alone in her Revelation bedroom. Oh no. She made an ass of herself. Now she's gonna be the butt of every joke. She can never put this behind her. ]

[ Shizuka's eyes fall for a moment, thinking about that question and how to answer it. After thinking it through, all she can muster are three words: ]

[ Honestly, she was expecting to be blown off or ghosted by now. Not expecting to even get this far, Shizuka doesn't know how to respond to that. March really is stubborn... ]

[ March, for better or worse, can't leave people alone. In her own way. ]

[ There's a long silence after that message. Shizuka wasn't sure how to reply to that. Someone actually willing to be her friend? That's something she couldn't wrap her head around so her mind took it in a way that's easier to swallow. ]

[ Shizuka didn't reply to the text message. She assumed this means immediately, so she just got ready instead. She's trying on some workout clothes just now, but she takes them off to wear something more acceptable in a shopping trip. Something boring, like a white button-up shirt and a black pencil skirt then some flat shoes.

Shizuka is by the entrance and exit of the base, arms crossed like she's been waiting a while. The guards are nearby, right behind her on the checkpoint gate. They'll give March the go-ahead before they let her out and see Shizuka waiting outside. ]

[ She's kind of jealous of March's appeal, now that she's looking at her in person again. ]

[ And there she is.

Looking very serious as ever, so she tries to break that up a bit with a wave. ]

All set? It'll help if you let me know your favorite colors, and no, "white" doesn't count in this case.

[ She was seriously going to answer white too... But Shizuka gives it a thought, closing her eyes with her hand on her chin, then answers: ]

[ She opens her eyes and nods. ]

In my culture, red is the color of a hero. The army's champion.

[ Which was the role she filled, back when she was still alive. But given she's dead from a duel she doesn't really feel mighty anymore. ]

[ She's suddenly bright-eyed. ]

[ Shizuka walks ahead, obscuring the small gentle smile on her lips from March's sight ]

[ She has watched many a super sentai shows, she enjoys them a lot but that's not something she is ready to share yet. Her smile eases into her default calm, taking a leisurely stride until March keeps up. ]

You seem quite fond of the idea.

Of course I do! Who wouldn't like people who help others and save the day? Besides jerks and villains, anyway.

[ She's here for it. ]

But let's look for red things, then! I think it'll also be a good color for feeling motivated when you're training!

[ Does Shizuka need motivation, probably not. But still. ]

[ The jerky (former?) villain next to her just wince like a hit dog. But she was quick to return to her calm state. ]

[ Shizuka nods, gesturing for her new friend to lead the way towards the train station at the base's grounds. Shizuka on the other hand is still reminded of her past, and looking at March who seems so innocent, Shizuka feels a stinging urge to keep her past a secret. Nobody must know of it, especially someone who is willing to give her a chance like this. ]

[ A pause ]

I looked at your profile and it says your name is March 7th. Why is that?

Oh, that?

[ There's no real pause, she's so used to this question by now as she leads the way to the station. ]

I don't have any memories of my past, including my name. So I just named myself after the day I joined up with the crew that found me.

[ Shizuka says nothing, uncertain of what to say other than her usual blunt commentary. ]

...Must be difficult.

[ She says after a bit of a pause, picking one of the safer replies that popped into her head. Making an effort to be better is hard. ]

It could be worse! I'm getting to make new memories all the time!

[ Back there and now here? It's a lot better than dwelling on it, in her opinion. ]

Hm... I see.

[ It could be better too, Shizuka thought, but at least she knows better than to dampen the mood with her usual pessimism. She may not think much of March yet, but the idea of becoming her friend is too appealing and important to waste. ]

[ Shizuka isn't aware she's asking too many questions and asks them like she's interrogating a suspect. ]
