I understand your anger, but it needs to be more targeted. We can't just blanket state that all adults are bad, because then in a couple years we'd have to overthrow ourselves.

I assumed so? Otherwise if you just like, exile them then that opens up the option for them to revolt and take back control. That's why I was worried about the cruel march of time. You think people would vote to keep someone like me around? Not likely.

if they're living in exile, they could form their own community that accepts new adults. that does put into question the minority population; do they send us children, or will LILITH take care of that?

eventually, and statistically, they'll always outnumber us unless we cull their numbers too.

i guess you're right. it's a bad scenario if we don't have an equalizer force, or a... mm. a culling of sorts.

I think it might be better to try and focus on ourselves so we can be better adults for the next generation.

who gets to judge 'better', though? what would be the criteria? it would depend on an adult to at least verify some of the rubric, wouldn't it? that would defeat the point of self-reliance among minors.

Well you were saying earlier that you'd allow some adults to live/stay, that's why I was concerned about that.

I just feel like you haven't considered the many pitfalls of this plan. Even putting aside myself, I personally wouldn't want to exile Silco but I fear other people would view him as one of the "bad adults."

adults would have skill and experience that youth, by nature of itself, wouldn't have. deciding which skills and experiences are worth our time would be the part where we'd all disagree individually.

that's why it's paramount to decide on the abstracts first before the literal. does an adult count if they're moral but useless? what if they're reprehensible but skilled? what's the middle ground, do we even need it?

We should just torture anyone we don't like until their behavior improves.
