ANONYMOUS TEXT @ANONYMOUSSPIDER
I feel like being such a small group we're missing out on the potential of an anonymous message board, so I'm making it happen!!
What secrets or intrigue are people dying to get off their chest? Who's secretly dating? Who do you wish were secretly dating? Do you have a dark secret that's eating away at you? (°ロ°) ! You can vent here, consequence free!!! I want to know what everyone's getting up to behind closed doors.
It's fully anonymized, so you can be as honest as you want. Or not! I'm not opposed to starting baseless rumors. Have fun ♡ ~('▽^人)
[Feel free to follow my lead and have Google Docs' style anon ids if you like, just so characters who who's saying what.]

[ a powerful few, at that. ]
people like to be morally correct when it costs them little to nothing, don't they? but when it's your loved ones at risk, or your life, or any of the other things that prop up pride and legacy or just existing for another day, it's harder. it's ugly. without exception, it'll cost everything and you won't even be alive to see the result of that hard work.
so i guess what i'm saying is i understand why people like that are few and far between. why it's important that they hold the line, as it were. but i also don't think it's fair that they should carry the weight of everyone's trust on their shoulders alone.
no subject
They shouldn't carry that, of course. They must, however. That is the point of it, isn't it? To be willing to take that on oneself? They are called monsters to greater society, but they're the ones that change history, break cycles and fortunes, all for what they see as necessary.
If they didn't, then what would be left in the end? Quiet complacency. Meek cooperation. It is not comfortable to stand against the tide. However, they must.
no subject
do you still think it's worth it at the cost of being the enemy to history? people mourn. even the worst men have faithful lovers, loyal soldiers.
is it worth it if the people you mean to protect follow your sacrifices to their death, too?
no subject
If it wasn't, then what would be the point of doing it?
The people too, followers, that is what they must do, if we are to finally find our place. There's nothing that can't be sacrificed.
[ Except for one. But he doesn't know that one yet. He hasn't been there yet. He doesn't know what it's going to cost. ]
no subject
we wouldn't be human without that kind of selfishness.
[ he'd stood on that precipice many times; chose wrong nearly every time, too. itadori yuji remains his only true victory on that front. ]
no subject
I've never found something that stays my hand. I don't intend to let it happen. [ It will. Oh, it will. ]
I've worked too hard, and too long, to let anything stop me now. Sometimes there are things bigger than your principles and desires.
no subject
i couldn't do that.
[ he'd crumpled in the face of that choice more than once. that same weakness brought him back to surface from sukuna's imposed drowning, but megumi knows how tenuous it is. how fragile the hope stands, soft-limbed and toothless and new. ]
i'd rather sacrifice myself for my loved ones. if they can continue to live, then it's worth it to me.
no subject
And what if they are already gone? What will you do?
[ Instead of ADMITTING IT, and also instead of lying where his DAUGHTER could see... ]
At some point, it's all slipped from your fingers, without you even having the chance to prevent it. What would you do then?
no subject
you hope you have someone who can love you enough to make it worth living on.
no subject
That's a falsehood if I ever heard one. No good comes from blind hope. Trust me, I'd know.
[ In the world before, he'd hoped. How much had he burned himself out? How quickly would he have given himself up, for just a shred of hope that Jinx would —
She's alive, and he'd been fed the farce that she was dead. He would have burned everything down for that, and what good did it do? It would have ruined everything. ]
no subject
i don't believe in luck, you know. but despite all odds i got lucky. i'd be dead otherwise.
i would've welcomed it too.
[ it'd be so lonely without you, yuji had confessed, and megumi couldn't bear the thought of passing on his grief more than he yearned the peace of death.]
no subject
Is it luck? I've never found that luck comes through when it matters the most. It's yet another answer for the truth: that we are all the sum of our motivations.
[ silco pulling this kind of dramatics here ]
no subject
[ then again, he is. ]
luck is palatable for the people who get left behind.
no subject
It is hardly a thing of luck, to be left like that, boy.
To be left behind? Is to be the unluckiest of all, unless one is able to take that, and use it to make better of themselves, of their place.
If you think seeking death is pathetic, then you are already following your motivations. Even the will to survive is something, isn't it?
no subject
in that respect, death is the only service they can perform.
but thinking like that is insane.
[ is he telling this man or telling himself? ]
no subject
But living despite all that wishes to tear you out from it, that is what is meaningful. The barriers to your goals, they will not just try to stop you, but also try to take from you what you work so hard to achieve.
[ Or maybe they're both telling on themselves. ]
Living out of spite, existing out of spite, is reason enough, when the world wants you dead. Prove them wrong.
no subject
spite is exhausting. i want to try to live for love, this time.
but you're right. to live despite everything is a powerful thing. thank you for saying it so plainly.
no subject
Teaching the youth to be spiteful ]
Oh, one could hardly stop me. I've been known to speak my mind even if it is to my own detriment.
And of course, when living for something else doesn't work, there is always the spite to fall back on, hm?
no subject
[ it's an educated guess, and an easy guess too if he were to bet on it. ]
spite is easy. if the hard ways fail, i should find my way back to them quick enough.
no subject
[ He lies. ]
At least, in the end, you will always have the one cold comfort we all have, hm?
closing us out, woof
[ that one consolation of survival, of being so damn hard to kill. cold comforts, indeed. ]
let's have a lighter conversation next time, mister. you're too weird to be boring.
