out of curiosity: would you pay to cuddle or nap with a furry animal, if you had the option? if you didn't have to do any cleanup and you're assured they won't have rabies or anything like that.
i've met enough people who seem to want physical comfort of this type, so i thought i might ask.

but it ain’t always egotistical. sometimes people just want the assurance that there is something after. or they want to know what it’s like because each culture’s idea of the afterlife is different. there tends to be something about it that’s harsh so people wonder if they’re having a hard time in life just to go have a hard time in death
(and the answer’s usually yeah but it’s an important part of the cycle of rebirth)
all that said I agree with your point though. don’t worry about death while you’re alive. have a good time and live every moment well. die well. then the people like me will take care of ya after

i'm not saying to be uncurious, i'm sorry if i came across that way. i suppose it's because i'm familiar with panda-san's circumstances that it doesn't seem worth questioning.
he's a nice person, though. you might like him. he gets a bit silly.
[ have you ever been pranked by a panda before? megumi recommends it! so he isn't the target and ruin his 'serious' street cred! ]
do you mean dying is harsh, or that living despite the threat of death is? both are just part of being alive, aren't they?
you're very forthcoming for someone who probably deals with so many dead people back home.

but he's going to let it go. if only because he'll just have a million questions for a panda if they show up instead. ]
the latter. I don't think dying is harsh. like, it ain't fun, but it's not harsh. I'd argue it's one of the most natural things in existence, so it's the great equalizer. it's indifferent and thus fair
but yeah, I get that a lot
I'm different from most gods of death honestly. always figured that was the case but meeting ereshkigal really solidified it hahaha
I like talking to people and ain't like many people get to meet me so
why not be forthcoming? I'm the almighty god of the azteca so ain't like anyone can tell me what to do
