( kaladin's implant reads to him in tiktok's "female-original" voice, but there are so many more to choose from. if you're savvy, you can even record clips of your own and have them uploaded so that it's your voice—personally—telling this idiot to stop using bar soap to wash his hair.

Back in my universe we've got this thing that auto translates everything for you -- voices, words, whatever. Of course, it's only useful if you can read in the first place.

It's disgusting they took that choice from us
They were desperate I guess
I suppose anyone would be at this point in war
Backed into a corner

But all of this technology comes with a downside
It's nice in that it's convenient but not for people who don't know how to use it
