As for going outside the City itself... there's the Outskirts, you can survive there if you really try, but if anyone ever went further than that? They didn't come back.

I don't know what kind of sins I ever could've committed for that, but you know, sometimes, I wonder.

Don't think it's hell, though. No way every employee deserves that kind of punishment. At least people in hell are supposed to have it coming.
