hello.
i have several questions for the outsider populace and i require truthful answers.
1. what are your abilities in battle?
2. what is your estimation of your skill with your own abilities?
3. who are you?
4. what was your proudest moment?
5. what was your weakest?
answer as you see fit. i’m not your boss.
[ this isn’t how one goes about making work acquaintances but it’s direct, it’s simple, and choso can’t be bothered to care if it meets industry standard. ]

1. I know how to use a harpoon, but back home I usually use a mace and shield. I also used E.G.O which are basically equipment from the mind. It doesn't have to come from my own; I also use E.G.O extracted from monsters called Abnormalities and use their abilities in battle.
2. Good question. I used to be a sailor, so of course I'd be good at using the harpoon. But for E.G.O there is a chance of me corroding if I use it for too long or my sanity dips too low. That's when I will enter a berserker state where I will thrash everything in my way, friend or foe. Anyone back home can use E.G.O so it's not like I'm doing anything special here.
3. Call me Ishmael.
[ she... still doesn't know who she really is, but her name should be more than enough. ]

call me choso.
in the event of your going berserk, what is the most effective method of subduing you?
respectfully.

Just... start running?
[ she wishes she were kidding. it's the same thing she told wrio a while ago. ]
Luckily, corrosion doesn't usually last too long, so you may as well stand back while I ride it out.

[ he really doesn't. it's just not necessary. he'll get where he's going one way or another. ]
can corrosion be directed in a particular direction without incurring your berserker wrath?
no subject
[ oh. right. she can't just tell a person she just met this. maybe next time. ]
Because they're a lot more durable than the average person. How about you?
[ nailed it. ]

are your teammates human or otherwise?
[ that tends to cut to the meat of the matter, he'd found. humanity sure was a handy tool on occasion. ]

[ hi, vergilius... ]
I almost forgot to mention that I used to work as a sailor. My experience at sea has helped a lot, especially in the recent kaiju mission.
no subject
that seems to be the norm for most experiences, i am noting.
what was it like, on the sea?
no subject
I hear the oceans in other worlds aren't as terrible, though.

[ he thinks. memories are all he has to go by, all this information that wasn't his to begin with. an entry in an encyclopedia that came into his possession the day his vessel ceased to exist and choso began. ]
apparently pleasant in the summer. if you need company to go to the sea around here, i don't mind filling that roster.

Sure. Let's go with that.
[ pretty sure they fought abnormalities with magma-like powers back in the city. pretty sure she'd died plenty of times trying to suppress it too. yet here she is, right as rain. ]
no subject
was it at least interesting?

with luck, i never will
but i'm curious about what it's like if you have and are still somehow here to talk about it

Like I said, I'm the resilient kind. But I guess this place didn't let me bring that ability along with me here.
no subject
i'll keep it in mind.
