best I can tell they think they've always lived here? in this world I mean. kinda hard to ask too much more than that without looking like you're the one that's insane but man

apparently they've also got backstories for all of us??? so how the fuck am I supposed to know that shit???

anyways. wanted to toss this out there for discussing and strategizing how to deal with this fuckin mess. I figure once we kill this kaiju they'll all go back to normal but

I dunno. be gentle with them. I know that's ironic coming from me but whatever

the mountings are new, and machine tooled. probably made around the same time as the last industrial era, but the blade itself's older. a lot older. and there's magecraft or something like it in the ivory

any ideas?

they're in the garrison if you want to look but the guards are a little testy, so you'll need a decent distraction.

I got to take a look at these swords at the garrison myself

They're magical

Not any kinda I've seen before but unmistakably magical

The guards won't let you get close but I got close enough to tell

Then they're definitely magical, and it sound like well-defended spells at that.

I've been in this world for nearly two years, and I am well-attuned to magic. It's a necessity as a summoner. But this is the first time I've encountered anything at all like magic in this world that wasn't coming from the Outsiders
