so you've all noticed that about half of us are totally fucked in the head right

best I can tell they think they've always lived here? in this world I mean. kinda hard to ask too much more than that without looking like you're the one that's insane but man

apparently they've also got backstories for all of us??? so how the fuck am I supposed to know that shit???

anyways. wanted to toss this out there for discussing and strategizing how to deal with this fuckin mess. I figure once we kill this kaiju they'll all go back to normal but

I dunno. be gentle with them. I know that's ironic coming from me but whatever

lemme know if there's anyone I missed to add to this filter.

Those of us still "normal" are on a sliding scale of certainty, where as the afflicted seem entirely convinced of things.

Almost like whatever is affecting them is dampening their insecurities.

Anyway, it's not that weird. If they've been mentally reprogrammed then of course they'll be certain of things. Last year I was pretty certain I'd always worshiped at the feet of that damned wolf. It happens when your head gets messed with.

Is it the kaiju or the Rifts around then that are more responsible for the mental effects.

Ereshkigal-chan didn't do anything to the others during the summer outside of pull them into the rift portals. No kaiju involved.

We really don't understand a damn thing here.

You're right, there's still so much we don't know about the rifts... but that might be the root cause, instead of the kaiju like we've been thinking.
