is food shortage really that big of a problem for us? i'm not questioning that it's an issue, but why do we seemingly get short more quickly? is it because we don't have the same exposure to the kaiju as the locals do?

But they still can't seem to find enough healers to field us without burning out the ones we've already got, have you noticed? I think things are more dire for our employers than their brave face lets on. Especially now that the old general's dead.

Things were bad enough that a decrepit temple in need of repairs halfway across the country seemed like a better idea to set up shop in, once we finished kicking the monks out. I think the whole thing or nearabout had to be rebuilt?

they need us compliant. if the healing resources are low, that forces us to work with one another. it could also be a distraction. if we're always keeping an eye out for one another, we could be missing bigger clues that we'd notice otherwise.
