They're all different? The guy who mutated us is like... a goat man. And I'm pretty sure they're just made of carbon, like humans.

in our world we have creatures known as curses. they're born from cursed energy, in turn generated by humans experiencing negative emotions. grief, anger, hatred, anxiety and other similar feelings. these pour out of the soul and when they become concentrated, they take on a metaphysical form that only a few can truly perceive.

but they can harm humans easily, because at their core they're made by humans. some humans can become curses themselves.

i wonder if it's something like that too where you're from.

... Probably not? Yokai are just like humans, only with non-human appearances. They're not made of any special energy or anything like that.

Born that way, yes. And my brothers and I when we first met a large amount of them did assume they were mutants like us, we were quickly corrected.

Non-humans can't really leave base unless they're cloaked, so it's not like any one else can see me as me off base. So no one has done anything untoward.

... I mean, besides Kaga. But she's kind of touchy and violent.

i didn't pay close attention. they caught me in a bad mood, so i wasn't playing nice.
