Our whole language is real poetic and metaphorical so that comes down to even the name for poetry

most people are incurious fools who prefer to stay simple. i think all languages are beautiful. even dialects within the same language can have so much variation between them, and it's so interesting.

can you say which language family it's rooted in?

couldn't tell ya. that's the kind of scholarship that I'm not exactly interested in

but it's the language of the people that have lived in Mexico (and nearby) for thousands of years. nahuatl.
