Because Raidou reminds me of what I was supposed to be.

He's a good kid, he's not hiding from himself like that Yuji brat is, and he doesn't act like he's better than me just because he disagrees with my views.

Let's just say that I see his principles, and I understand that they come from a place of weakness. He did not enjoy that truth.

On the other hand, the boy requires a deft touch. Which I have.
