If anyone has received a green beetle they would like to sell, please let me know. I'm not sure I can offer as much as you could elsewhere, but these creatures would be a big benefit to all of us. I would like to set them up in the greenhouse and gardens in Okinawa to help facilitate plant growth, and harvest the groves. They would be a huge help in growing food for us all.

Think of it this way: the more food we can grow, the less ration bars we need to eat.

that's right, that kind. Do you plan to keep it? Even if you do, once the greenhouse we're building in Okinawa is complete, it would be great if I could borrow it. They make fantastic little gardeners. Seems things grow faster around them, and they can be taught to harvest crops.

Yeah, I was plannin' on keeping it but it's kinda expensive to feed.

Mizzie here-- [Yes, he already named it.] Wouldn't do well in a cramped apartment. This little guy needs to thrive; it needs to be free to grow and flourish.

They do seem to eat a lot, don't they. I hope they don't eat too much of the food they'll be harvesting.

Thanks. I appreciate it. Once the greenhouse in Okinawa is ready to go, I'll let you know. In the meanwhile, you can put him in the base's greenhouse and see how he does. That's what I plan to do.

I think once you get Mizzie into a routine, he'll grow more than he eats. This little guy just needs some place nice to spread his wings, you know.

That sounds like a good idea! It's better than letting Mizzie crawl up my leg. That was a little too creepy for my liking.

Maybe we get lucky; we might get some bamboo or something to spruce up the base.

This place could use more plants outside of the greenhouse, I can agree to that.

My focus has been on food, though. We visited Okinawa last year, and found that the groves that had been abandoned there were effected by rift energy, and the fruit growing there were huge. I thought we should take advantage of this, so I've helped start a garden and a greenhouse there.

There are also plenty of kaiju crabs and fish to fight and catch, and bring home to the freezer. You wouldn't happen to know how to fix a boat, by chance?

Well, shit. By all means, take Mizzie and put that garden and greenhouse to good fuckin' use. You have my full consent and confidence. I don't want anyone to go hungry like I did back when I was a kid in what was left of College Station, Texas. It was bad, real bad.

Famine swept through the town like a damn plague. People dead left and right. So yeah, I'm all aboard for this greenhouse idea.

Fixing a boat? Well, I don't know shit about fixing boats but V does. He's amazing with his hands. Want me to ask him?

I'm sorry, that's awful. Food can get scarce here. I'd never want anyone to go through that if I can help it. My hope is that we can grown not just enough for the Outsiders, but for the citizens too. Though I do sometimes drop some off at the orphanage.

That would be great. I managed to buy one for cheap, but only because it needed a lot of TLC. If we can get it working, then we can do some fishing on the ocean with nets, meaning even more food for the freezers.
