If anyone has received a green beetle they would like to sell, please let me know. I'm not sure I can offer as much as you could elsewhere, but these creatures would be a big benefit to all of us. I would like to set them up in the greenhouse and gardens in Okinawa to help facilitate plant growth, and harvest the groves. They would be a huge help in growing food for us all.
Think of it this way: the more food we can grow, the less ration bars we need to eat.
Do contact me if you're interested. Thanks for your time.
[There's a pause before the post is edited, and more is added.]
I hope everyone has been recovering well. If you were someone who became corrupted in the Underworld and suspect that not all of it has been purged from your system, please come see me. I can help. My room is Everlight 012.
[OOC: feel free to use this post for beetle trading and selling in general, too.]

[ then, for the latter half of the reply: ]
did people die?

If not gardening, then there is fishing to be done, and crabs to be hunted.
[Hunted. Not caught.]
People were grievously injured and corrupted, or fell ill. But everyone made it out alive. It's a miracle.

is it common, though? getting poisoned by the wildlife closer to tokyo, or the neighboring cities?
[ megumi's not sure how to push for the story about the underground, and if yuji's been impacted or hurt by what had transpired. he'll try again later when he has a better plan. ]

We do have someone with a forge. Muramasa-san, in Kyoto. If he's not too busy making weapons, perhaps he can help.
Rifts can appear anywhere, and can cause poisoning the longer they're around, or the bigger they get. I've seen victims too close to them get mutated, in severe cases. People or things falling into the rifts and getting poisoned is probably what causes kaiju in the first place.

we have these hypotheses, and all of these information that could lead to a moer long-lasting solution. have they not been tested?
[ it's more rhetorical, of course. otherwise, the reasons for their presence here in neo tokyo becomes even more sinister. ]
this is a lot to think about, isn't it? did you keep your beetles?
no subject
And yes, it always is.
I just have the one, but yes. When I learned of it's abilities, I immediately wanted to get them to the greenhouses.
Maybe we can try them in the base greenhouse and see how they do. then take them to Okinawa. Really, it shouldn't be too much longer til the greenhouse there is done too.
["Greenhouse", though it's really just a glorified shed. But hey, it's something. He's been working hard there.]

we could build a small carrier that's friendly for them. if we have enough beetles to transport, they'll need to survive the trip, right? even if it's through teleporting, it's not like we'll be releasing them immediately into the wild.
ah, i wish i'd kept a beetle for myself now. but it'll probably have gotten eaten by something eventually, in my care.

[Not usually hard to convince someone to take a trip to the beach for the day.]
If we manage to breed more of them, you can have one.

[ nue's gotten really big. she could carry at least two to three people and fly the whole way without stopping now. ]
—ah, i would appreciate that too. thank you.

Unless you know of another method?

a few, but i'll ask permission from the people i'm thinking of first.
but an aircraft? seriously? with the metal parts and all of it?

So however we want to do it, we have a way of getting there that won't stress out the insects. Teleportation can be tough on people sometimes.

the compression and high-speed transfer of matter is inherently dangerous, too. the slower form of travel is probably the safer, barring any incidents on the way.
...but we have to expect that, don't we?
