[ She's trying very hard to keep it all together. Not just for her own sake either. Lucy's emotions have been chaotic since early this morning and she's not sure how to handle it other than to cry.

Still, in the midst of hiccups, she stammers out. ]

G-Goji-san, he was- Kaede-san saw...uuuu...

[ No, she can't do it. She can't keep it together. She's crying again with a total lack of dignity and sobs leaving her lungs starved for air. ]

He went into a rift! Kaede-san saw...

Do you mean to say he fell in or the rift tugged at him? A sort of absorption, like gravitational force? Or could it be he walked into it as though in a trance?

Now, more than ever, I become convinced that all disappearances are linked. This is the obvious conclusion.

[ So the thing is, rifts have always been a thing here, but previously they seemed to only be connected to the kaiju, but now it's seeming like they have some kind of sway beyond them, or something is different about them? The nature thereof sort of makes him think of his vault/pocket dimension and he wonders if everyone who vanished is somewhere like that.

But, of course, if the kaiju are within the rifts and it's a sort of primordial monster sea, also like certain places with which he's familiar, they had probably best get to the heart of the matter sooner rather than later. ]

[ This guy sounds like he knows a lot! ]

No, he- [ She stops, thinks, remembers. It's a little hazy, being more Lucy's memory than hers. ] He sensed something wrong and got up, shielded her, and when it opened, he pushed her away so it would only take him.

Then it...it was gone.

[ He likes to cultivate that impression. Or maybe he just happened to see Aventurine's previous post, since yanno, he wasn't blocked, so he may have seen more disappearances so far!! ]

I do not suppose you saw a kaiju? Hmm, what else could he have sensed that was "wrong," other than that?

[ Curiouser and curiouser. ]

I didn't see it myself. I don't think Kaede-san saw a kaiju either. It was just the rift that came and went so quickly...
