un: forgery; (posted 5-10).
This is Muramasa.
Just before we left last month, I was given leave to keep a smithy on the premises of the base in Kyoto. It's functional now, so the lot of you using blades from our employer need to come have a proper edge put on them. Don't dawdle: you're embarrassing me, walking around like that as it is with those things. Same goes for those of you with personal blades that need upkeep.
[ now, time for the announcement of the grand opening of peepaw's sword emporium. Sort of. ]
Now, if you just want a proper blade of your own for our work here, and I've got a finished one on hand, you can have it if you pay me back for those materials. (Don't do anything stupid with it — they're swords, not toys.) Or, if katana ain't your style and you want something special, or you'd like a matching set, I can do that too. I'll have to test ya so I can see what suits you, plus I'll be charging you for materials and time away from my own work, but it's a properly forged sword made by a master, and you can't beat that price these days.
[ nobody would be so shifty as to start selling those swords on an underground, black market, right? definitely not. ]
And before I forget—Kuzunoha, Laios. You two come see me at the smithy when you're free, regarding the work we talked about before.
[ He already talked to you boys about blades, so you're exempt from this decree about payment... but only once.
And lastly, but most importantly: ]
... Tsurumaru-dono, please feel free to come visit as well. I'd like to see how you're holding up, now that there's a proper forge to work in.

it's cute and it helps to convey tone through text when that isn't always obvious.
in this case, it's approval and i'm cheering you on! ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ

Muramasa's not a polite person at first glance by any measure, nor is he necessarily... friendly, unless you are immune to blunt criticism. ]
So it's to make up for a lack of confidence in what you're saying?
[ harsh... ]
Hm. You can just come and talk in person, Okkotsu.

[ Peepaw's not getting it!!! Although okay, maybe that is a little bit of a call-out to someone who's been previously crippled with the self-doubt that comes from years of severe anxiety and depression, but still... ]
and i'm talking to anyone who might read your post here.
things like personal reviews can really help a business, you know!
especially since all the outsiders come from such different worlds and times, your name alone might not be enough to convince them.

... But, if you're going to be going around peacocking on my behalf, I suppose I should finish the other half of your matching set, first thing's first.
1/2
although that doesn't sound like the right word for it either...
but whatever the case, it still can't hurt to throw a good word out there!
[ Especially given the uhh Reputation. ]
2/2
EH??? ]
wait
you were intending on making me a set??
[ They only ever talked about the wakizashi!! ]

[ Not only is he going to make you a sword, Yuta, he's planning on making some backups too. ]

but you're right, thank you very much. i'll continue to strive to be worthy of your work.
[ How is he supposed to hold all those precious swords though??? He can't. (Rika will have to do it for him.) ]

Still, you're my responsibility, and as long as you keep letting me pay you like this, I'm going to take advantage of it!

[ Hmm... maybe he'll let himself be a little more careless with his swords and experiment more with how much cursed energy he can imbue if he's going to have a steady supply? It'll also make it so that Muramasa has an excuse to make more if he doesn't get too overwhelmed with orders. It could be continued enrichment for peepaw. ]
