Hey. This is Dante. You've probably seen me around base, even if we haven't actually talked (trust me).

Since we've just had some new people arrive, I figured now would be as good a time as any to put this out there. I'm not sure if anyone would be interested, but one of my duties back home was to have one-to-one consultation sessions with the employees in our department (still is, technically). It's nothing too earth-shattering, just checking in and helping work through anything anyone needs to get off their shoulders, but I thought I'd offer since it seems to help us out and I know things here can get rough sometimes.

Oh, and there's no pressure to reply here if you'd rather have privacy. I've also got a sign-up sheet on my door (Revelation, room 006), if you'd rather set something up that way. Just make sure to show up at the time you pick.

Probably? I haven't yet, thank goodness, but I wouldn't be surprised if I could.

As for "tackling" diseases... That's... not really the sort of problem I'm looking to help out with. It sounds like the sort of thing you'd be better off going to a doctor for?

and no, it’s not me. an acquaintance of mine has an unknown disease and i have been curious as to how to treat him.

I... don't know? The closest thing I've had to a fever is when the flames got out of control...

[And even then they'd only heard about that secondhand]

Okay... What are some of the symptoms? Maybe I can at least point him to the right kind of doctor.

[ what a great question. what would constitute as a symptom? of a disease undisclosed? would it be something people close to laios would know? but choso isn’t that close. what, then, could stand as a potential symptom? may as well try whatever stands out as a start. ]

and he cannot engage in coitus due to disease.

Um....

The first one sounds normal if he's pale. Maybe see if you can get him to wear sunscreen?
The second is... half... normal(?) I think. It depends on the food group?
The latter's, uh, a bit beyond my paygrade.

Oh, wait, was he one of the people dealing with that [don't write "bloodfiend"] vampire illness from before?

i will be honest, dante, but i have no idea if he was vampired. his actions and appetite have maintained a constant and unerring strangeness since the moment i met him burning in okinawa.
what if he isn’t?
what if his straits turn dire and this disease tries to take his strange life?

[They don't know how long ago that might have been, but between that comment and the cure that was distributed to everyone, it seems unlikely that he was one. Or, at least, he isn't one now.]

Well... Then aside from that last point, it could just be that that's just the sort of person he is. Everyone has their own unique quirks.

Have you spoken with him about it at all? Asked for any details on what people with that sort of illness go through?
