Good afternoon, all.

If we have not yet become acquainted, then please, allow me to introduce myself. I am Sebastian Michaelis, another recently arrived Outsider, and most pertinent for why I make this address today, recently employed on LILITH’s base here in Neo-Tokyo. My official title is the kitchen manager for the cafeteria, but as needs must, I have taken on some additional responsibilities. I may not be in service to my lord here, but I still feel it important to best offer my skill as a butler.

First, on matters of food.

I am attempting to improve the menu on offer in the cafeteria, and I hope that anyone that has stopped by to try the improved offerings in recent weeks has enjoyed them. However, I would very much like to expand such offerings. If there is a particular dish that you find yourself missing, please, do let me know. I will endeavor to recreate it with your assistance, though I can make no guarantees. If you have a recipe I can follow, all the better.

Second, on matters of facility maintenance.

While our automated services are adequate, I do believe that the order and cleanliness of the base could be improved. Thus, the additional responsibilities I have taken on. If you find any part of the base in disrepair or would perhaps like your personal quarters cleaned regularly, please let me know. It would be my pleasure to do so, as a tidy home makes for happier people.

If you would like a full list of services I offer, I would be glad to provide it. I simply fear that this is already a rather long announcement.

Correct. Or, essentially so. I believe by title I am merely assigned to the kitchens, but there was enthusiasm from some of the management staff when I expressed a desire for a bit more.

I see. the help is welcome, I can assure you.
Though, there are a lot of people here, much like myself, who enjoy cooking. So please don't think you have to do it all on your own. We're a team.

I've been doing my best to keep the freezer stocked with fish and crab meat from Okinawa, as well as fruit from the groves when it's ripe. More people have volunteered to help plant more and fish more, so hopefully in the coming months, there will be more to use. The base greenhouse is lovely, but supplies are always short around here. I'm hoping this will keep us from needing ration bars again.

I would not take the pleasure from others, I assure you! Consider my contributions... Well, optional is not quite the word for it, but I am cooking for all, whether they are other staff members of LILITH or simply those Outsiders who do not particularly enjoy cooking.

I shall remember this though, I promise.

More importantly, I see that I owe you thanks for the seafood that I found. I only took a touch, since such bounty would be terribly rude to truly utilize without permission, but it was delicious, I was told. I have skill with gardening and agriculture as well, so I can certainly offer my help in that area too.

What kind of cuisine do you like to cook? I've been wanting to learn more recipes, personally. I've only started cooking in the last two years, so I'm still limited in what I know. Well, three years now I suppose.

[Hard to believe he's been here almost a year now.]

Oh, no, it's for everyone. Please use as much as you like. One crab goes a long way since they're quite large. There should be plenty of fish in there as well.

Really? That's great to hear. I came up with this project idea so it became my responsibility to spearhead it, but truth be told I have no gardening or farming experience. I've been doing what I can to learn fast, but having more people with experience in it will make this go much smoother.

French, primarily, but I would say that my more general specialty is fine dining. The young master sometimes entertains very important guests, so part of my duties are to make meals they truly will not forget and curry favor for my lord. So, if you would like to improve your skill, I would be happy to teach. Consider that a personal thanks for the contributions to our kitchen stocks.

And looking towards the future, I admittedly do not know much about the hands-on parts of agriculture, such as raising livestock... But I am very familiar with how to manage their resources and personnel. This was also part of my duties.

As well as maintaining the manor's personal gardens.

Well, we're not going that far, thankfully. There were existing groves left in Okinawa still growing fruit, and can use some maintenance to keep them going. We're also looking to add a small greenhouse to take advantage of the warm climate there. We came back from our last mission with a lot to plant, and our current greenhouse can only hold so much.

Then that is precisely where I may offer good assistance, for we kept a fine greenhouse at the Phantomhive manor. I was very proud of our little greenhouse orchard, in fact.

It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mr. Kuzunoha. And please correct me if I have that backwards! I will fully admit Japanese customs are still rather new to me, so I am learning...

Additionally, since I did not mention it, I have been assigned to the Redemption team. In fact, is there any rhyme or reason to the assignments, do you know? But that is only my curiosity, nothing important.

Yes, you've got it right.

I don't really know what their reasoning is behind the teams. Occasionally we are broken up into teams for different tasks, but mostly we all work together. Perhaps they just needed a way to organize the dorms.
