Sounds like you guys have really been through the wringer. First escaped monsters, now cultists...it feels like they didn't mention any of this in the briefing when I got here.

Yeah, not surprising. There's already so much information they have to throw at you. I had to go back and sit through the briefing again because I couldn't absorb it all the first time around.

Maybe I should do that too... Sure feels like going to school all over again and having to do homework.

Somehow it's pretty different from my one day at school. Though the circumstances aren't quite the same, I gotta admit. And the training simulations really are like being made to do homework...

Only one day? How'd you get out of the rest?

Oh, I snuck in using my follower's body. I tried to spread my name around, but I think most everybody ended up thinking it was her being a call girl...

[It was a disaster, to put it mildly.]

[Poor girl is right. He was a menace to her there for a while.....]

Noooot exactly? The number I gave everyone was mine, so now I get random creepy calls from dudes looking for a good time.

[Now that is what they call divine punishment. Or self-sabotage.]

I think it's time you get a new phone. And maybe stop using other people's bodies.

I can't afford one

er, well, I couldn't until I came here.

But yeah, I think that way of marketing myself is kind of a bust, to be honest. Though it was fun! I had always wanted to go to school and now I have!

[Not that he did much in the way of classic schooling while he was there...]

Everyone I knew always hated school, but I guess if you only go for a day it can seem pretty fun.

Are you still trying to market yourself here? We really need to come up with something better if so.

Grass is always greener, yeah? When it's something you've never tried before, anything might seem fun.

Kinda! I've been branching out to try different markets, like private investigator, manicurist, and a pet photographer.

[In other words, not sticking with anything longer than a month.]

Those are all pretty different.

Are any of them working out for you?

Yeah! There's so many varieties of job out there, I can't help but want to try them all!

[Unfortunately, it kind of makes him a Jack of All Trades, yet a master of none.]

I think I was doing pretty good at being a manicurist, but sitting there for so long every day kinda made me antsy.

Hmm...you could always find a way to add a little flair to it. Like manicuring while riding a bicycle! Or while hanging upside down from a tree or something.

[ These are not serious suggestions that Yato should take. ]

You might be onto something there! I could do nails while showing off my sword skills or something! Maybe breathe fire to dry them!

not yet? I bet I could learn, though!

You probably could. You can do just about anything if you really put your mind to it.

But you have to let me come watch if you decide to learn!

Of course! It'd be nice to have an audience.

And somebody there to administer first aid in case it goes wrong~

I know a couple things about first aid, but getting burns from breathing fire is definitely outside what I'm used to. Though maybe it would be a good idea to read up more on medicine, especially if we're going to be fighting all the time.

Oh, absolutely. Any information you can gleam about treating wounds will likely come in handy down the road. Though I guess that means I should look into how one heals mouth burns before attempting any sort of fire breathing, huh.

Unless you know a really good doctor, that's probably a good idea.

I know the best doctor around, but even she might have trouble with that.

And she'd kick my ass for being an idiot if I came to her with mouth burns.

It sounds like she knows her stuff then. Will she be participating in this calendar too?
