🚘Cars are so cool🚘
I really want to try one out❗🚗💨💨💨
❗❗❗Did you know they're surprisingly easy to get❓❓❓
Does anyone have one?
I want one too 🎁
(And like, 45 minutes later: )
Wow, this is pretty difficult❗❗❗
I can't figure it out at all.
🤔💭 Does anyone know how to use a car❓ (╹ ᴗ╹)?

(Can't believe Tsurumaru is going to turn his car into a giant music player.)
I haven't tried it yet but that one looks much easier. Do you have one, too?
no subject
(but I support it)
but yeah, bought a motorcycle right before we shipped out. hold on
[ And it takes a few minutes, since he'll have to amble to wherever it's stored, but a picture is sent ]
there she is. still trying to think of a name. I think you name bikes anyways?
no subject
It was nice to find out it could, though!
Oh, let me show you mine.
(And he will snap a picture but say it's from like, LILITH's garage still because he hasn't gotten it to move yet.)
Like a ship?
Hmm... names are really powerful so if you pick a name, you should choose carefully.
no subject
yeah, that's why it's been taking a bit. that and heading out to seoul, since that put the bike out of my mind for a while. plenty of stuff that comes to mind in nahuatl but none of them are quite right. was thinking something with jaguars since that's kinda my thing. one of them anyways
you think you'll name yours? and the car too now that you got that
no subject
Hmm... a name is really precious.
If you give something a name, you're giving it an identity, and offering it a chance at a life.
The name you give it has to be chosen carefully because it'll shape its soul.
Like mine!

it might be how things work where I'm from. not sure to be honest with you. but I'm taking better care of my stuff for sure
why I figured some of them need a name! it's a nice idea if nothing else

I was named Tsurumaru after the crane. It's an auspicious symbol in this country so my maker hoped I would bring luck to those who wielded me.
What do you want from your things?
no subject
[ If he ever has a reason or occasion to give Tsurumaru a gift, it'll certainly be themed around that. ]
hm... good question. feel like the simple answer is just having fun. but it's also a pretty unique opportunity for me, yknow? get to see what people have made firsthand. modern technology's great. real testament to how well humanity has done for themselves. so I'd like to give my appreciation for their efforts
no subject
I see, that makes it even more special and difficult to decide.
I'm more of an old fashioned spirit but I still like to try new things.
But these modern things are symbols for their future hopes.
Maybe something for the future.
Like, "Mirai" or "Yume."

hey if you want to make it a proper cultural exchange I could suggest some nahuatl for you
they’re probably tongue twisters though. people really struggle with it
no subject
Nahuatl?
(He does not even know how to begin to pronounce that. Na - wa - to - ru?)
Even if it's difficult, I want to learn.
Those are the words that make you "you" after all, right?
no subject
nahuatl is the language of my people. so to go matchy with yours... I'd suggest "Itztihui"
[ GOOD LUCK WITH THAT ONE TSURU ]
means "looking towards the future" roughly. but also "to go seeking" which seems pretty good for a bike. has an implication of action

I like it!
But eh... you'll have to say it for me next time.
I've never seen sounds like that together before.
no subject
you got it. happy to do some teaching. we definitely have some pretty unique sounds in the language compared to others, but that's the fun of being so isolated from the rest of the world. got to do our own thing for a long time
hell kinda got lucky that my name's pretty easy, all things considered. some of my family'd have no hope of their names getting said correctly
no subject
(He isn't complaining though it may sound like that. He's actually more interested than anything. It's a totally different from any language he's ever heard before. There are sounds and combinations that make his tongue and mouth move in ways he'd never really tried before. It's fun. It's like learning a new song.)
How surprising!
I want to know more.
But I see... so your country was also isolated for some time?
no subject
[ and on his end, he's snickering, since he does kind of like overwhelming people with Nahuatl... He finds the language uniquely beautiful in how every word is poetic, but, yeah. Most anyone who learns about it tends to be overwhelmed. ]
but yeah. our part of the world was doing our own thing until the spanish came. you probably know how it is, since you're an old guy of your country yourself. europeans are pushy bastards

When we let them in, we even kept them to one place.
The real troublemakers were the ones called the Americans.
I never got to see them, though... By the time they arrived, I was up north, far away from where they landed.
no subject
but still. pain in the ass when anyone tries to come "visit" if you catch my drift
no subject
(Did he use that right.........)
For sword spirits like me, their arrival was something like the beginning of the end. After a long period of peace, we'd soon end up replaced by new weapons.
Ah, but by then, I was already spending my days resting. I never got a final chance on the battlefield!
no subject
[ In fact, Tezcatlipoca actually has quite a pang of feeling at Tsurumaru's little story here, but he doesn't share it. It's the sort of thing he's intentionally aloof about. ]
what about now? ain't this a battlefield?
no subject
And it's a totally new one too.
Are you saying I should be happy now?
no subject
I'm tempted to ask another question, but I feel like it's one that'll make you run away again. so! I'll pick the easier one.
having fun?
no subject
Of course, I"m having fun.
(Fun how? Fun doing what? He won't say...... but he can admit hes' having fun easily.)
