I just have a question, does anyone have access to any fire resistant footwear?
Sandals or er, sneakers? Is that what they're called? Anything is fine.
Or if anyone has any suggestions on how to prevent surfaces from burning when I stand on them, I would greatly appreciate it.

Trendy... I suppose that's right. THe fashion here is very much unlike what I'm used to at home. I'm still getting used to it.

You don't sound too worried about your feet, though, even if it doesn't sound very pleasant to deal with...

I could say the same, honestly.
I've come to learn that the fashion that I'm used to is considered to be, er, rather archaic compared to what's popular now.

Oh, no, I'm sorry if it all sounds dire but this is simply just a part of me that I was born with.

Yes, I was. I don't really know the specifics of it, just that my father has it and so it was passed to me.
My home is essentially fireproof, you could say, so it's not something I had to worry about before arriving here.

Oh, dear. That does sound very troublesome. I would think that the base, at least, would be all right to walk around in. It should be able to withstand something like that, right...?
