I just have a question, does anyone have access to any fire resistant footwear?
Sandals or er, sneakers? Is that what they're called? Anything is fine.
Or if anyone has any suggestions on how to prevent surfaces from burning when I stand on them, I would greatly appreciate it.

There are probably some fireproof sneakers being sold in shops around here if you know where to look.

Why are your feet on fire anyway? Can't you turn it off?

Oh! That's very good to know.
As long as it exists, I'm sure I'll find them.

As for why they're on fire, I was born with it. The only time they weren't alight was when I died.

I was stillborn when my mother gave birth to me.
Thankfully, Nyx was able to bring me back to life and from then on, my feet were always like this.

Seems being brought back to life is normal for you. Does that mean you're immortal?

In a way, yes.
I'm bound to the Underworld, so even if I die, I'll always wake up back at the house.
I don't think it works the same here, though, and I'm not too keen to test it.

Don't even try. I... don't feel my connection with my manager either. They're the ones who can bring me and my other coworker to life whenever we die out there. So now, we've got to be more careful.

That's what I thought.
Each time I meet my demise, the River Styx takes me back down to Tartarus, where I wake up in the House once more.
But it's different here. I don't feel the same connection I do back in my realm.

In any case, it's certainly an exercise in being less reckless.

You manifest in your house every time you die? That sounds like a hassle. My manager usually brings us back to life right there, though it's not without its consequences.

If you've gotten this far, kaiju might be a walk in a park. Still, better safe than sorry.

There's nothing more discouraging than nearly reaching the surface only to be sent all the way back down again.

Still, though it may be convenient, I'm sorry you have to deal with the consequences. I can't imagine it'd be so easy.

But you may be right.
I'm sure there's something about them that would make them particularly nasty; I doubt LILITH would be so keen to pull people and beings from other realms to assist, otherwise.

It's fine. I'm used to it, even before I was bound to the manager. You could say that I'm pretty intimate with the concept of death.

I'm good at breaking things?
Shades (I guess you could call them monsters), rules, my father's property... and so on.

It definitely seems like it. I'm likely not that much better compared to the rest.

It's quite a long story. My family and I didn't have the best relationship.

I mean, there's no use in comparing yourself with other people here, tempting as it is to do that sometimes. LILITH must've seen something in you to help get the job done around here, and that's what matters.

They would've done better bringing anyone else from my realm, really. I may be part god, but I've no domain to call my own.

Well, my father is the god of the Underworld and my mother is the goddess of verdure, but she was part mortal.

Part mortal... I didn't know something like that is possible. Usually it's either you're fully human or fully god.
