Notice of Examination Period: May 13-14

On May 13-14, students will be undergoing written exams to assess their level of knowledge in certain subjects. The exams will be taking place in a cordoned section of the cafeteria during this period. Please refrain from entering the cafeteria if unnecessary, and keep noise levels to a minimum. There will be no restrictions during lunch period.

Below is the schedule of exams; plan your trips accordingly.


May 13
8:00-9:30 AM: Mathematics - Arithmetic, Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra
10:00-11:30 AM: Mathematics - Statistics & Probability
1:30-3:00 PM: Mathematics - Calculus
3:30-5:00 PM: Economics

May 14
8:00-9:30 AM: Physics
10:00-11:30 AM: Chemistry
1:30-3:00 PM: Biology
3:30-5:00 PM: Environmental Sciences


These exams are diagnostic tests meant to inform further learning. Should you have an interest in educating yourself, direct your inquiries to me. The cut-off for requesting participation in these exams is 8 PM tonight.

A shame. A planetary catastrophe should not obstruct one's education if you reside in a relatively safe zone. It is in such circumstances that knowledge becomes even more important, as it will equip you with the information you need to face unknown perils.

Had I expertise in that subject, I would most certainly have done that.

However, the academic subjects have it's uses in crises such as these. For instance, knowledge in material sciences may inform you which metals are capable of taking more stress from attacks should you find yourself in need of creating a makeshift defense. Similarly, understanding biology would allow you to make reasonable hypotheses on a kaiju's weak points. There is never a reason not to educate yourself on any number of topics.

To believe that is to cripple one's own capabilities, for morale plays a large role in one's capacity to enact effective action. We hardly know anything about these monsters. There is still a wealth of knowledge to discover.

If we could determine their source, it will greatly increase our understanding of their nature. Abandoning the planet is not an option. It is clear to me that there are not enough resources to evacuate every individual on this planet, and we have not yet exhausted all our other choices.

You seem to be searching for an answer to affirm your decision to pretend to be helpless and do nothing. You are a fool and an idiot, and I will not be the one to enable your indolence.

I see no reason to believe LILITH has found the source of the problem, even if they are not keen to share their knowledge. However, I do not intend to sit idly and wait for them to share it. If they are not willing to make use of the resources they are given, then I shall be the one to take action.
