that is also true. you could be a nefarious felon extraordinaire for all anyone knows. the graduate genius might be a criminal. i am a criminal. there are many criminals out there and i do not doubt that LILITH has recruited most of them and worse for an arguably reasonable purpose: to destroy.

And then she thinks about it. Guilt follows, rolling over her like a cold wave of water.

This person is a total stranger who just admitted that they're a criminal and therefore (supposedly) dangerous, but Marcille is still deeply affected by what happened before she arrived. And she's had no one to talk to about it. It feels like a dam fit to burst. ]

To be honest, I was thinking this place might be like that for me too
I tried to do something that I thought was good for everybody, but in reality I was being selfish.
I was forcing everyone to do what I wanted because I couldn't deal with how things actually were.

I killed someone too. We were in a place where they could be resurrected, but
It's not like anyone can just forget that I did that. I definitely won't.

I don't know if I really was brought here as a punishment
But I want to learn how to accept things I can't really control.
Being brought here kind of forces me to deal with that

if we are here as punishments, then it means the others have come here by penalty as well.
i would rather think it random chance: LILITH reaching blindly into the ether. [ random chance meant yuji wasn't here as punishment, that all these souls weren't here to suffer for their crimes. ]

take solace in knowing we are here to suffer together, at the very least.
