hello.
i have several questions for the outsider populace and i require truthful answers.
1. what are your abilities in battle?
2. what is your estimation of your skill with your own abilities?
3. who are you?
4. what was your proudest moment?
5. what was your weakest?
answer as you see fit. i’m not your boss.
[ this isn’t how one goes about making work acquaintances but it’s direct, it’s simple, and choso can’t be bothered to care if it meets industry standard. ]

very versatile, this quirk of yours.
show me.

Do you want to meet in the training room?
no subject
[ almost like if he hadn’t been, he wouldn’t have accepted…? this guy. ]

[Five minutes later, Izuku arrives at the training room clad in his Everlight colored sweats and t-shirt. It's not what he would choose for an actual training session, but that's not what this is. This is more of a demonstration.
For science.]So One For All contains seven separate quirks. Think of it as like a storage of other quirks. Each one is a unique abilities that I can use together in different ways.
[Class is in session.]

choso at least can appreciate deku's approach to the matter: direct, and feet-first. ]
Branches off a home core.
[ ready, sensei. ]

[Having said that, he's suddenly holding a tennis ball that he presumably got from somewhere in the training room. And he offers it to Choso.]
I need you to throw this at me.
[Bet you weren't expecting participation.]
no subject
Right. Pardon me, then.
[ questions can come after the lesson. for now: projectiles.
but spinach boy didn't specify how hard to throw it, so choso, big achiever that he is, just sort of underhand tosses it at deku, with the same general air of someone trying to flip a water bottle Just Right. catch, l'il guy. ]

The effect is instantaneous. As soon as he touches the ball it redirects its trajectory, sweeping to the left at a higher speed than it was initially thrown, and bouncing off the wall and to the ground.]
As you can see, I can slow it down or speed it up. Change its trajectory. But since arriving I've only been able to use it on smaller objects.

What is Gearshift's limit on velocity increase? What of it's current size limit?
no subject
The thing is it was hard to nail down the full extent of Gearshift back home because it's so unstable and the blowback of using it at higher levels can really damage the user.
[So him. Spoken like someone who hasn't damaged his bodily badly in its usage before. No trauma here, nope.]
I've mainly used it on myself as a way to boost my abilities for a short time. But that's not really possible now. I would have to work with it more to know what it's limits are now.
As for the size limit...I can use it on most pieces of furniture, but nothing super big. Like bigger than an average sized adult.
[Don't ask him how he knows this. He hasn't been flinging around furniture in Everlight...much.]
