β–Ά DOWN TIME / NETWORK MINGLE #2

β–· DOWN TIME / NETWORK MINGLE #2

β–Ά DOWN TIME.

As Outsiders make themselves comfortable back on MAIN BASE, they will be informed of a reward for their great efforts. A pizza party will be held sometime after the kaiju fight and before a Valentine's party. All it really contains is pizza being served in the cafeteria along with the following streamers with balloons:
GOOD JOB:
TOP KNOT (K.O)
HAT GUY (294)
SNOWMOON (292)
Those who do you attend the party will still get this message as a marquee text along their ocular device. Characters CAN take this message off, but it's a bit complex. Try under General > Settings > Notifications > Messages > Texts > Alerts > Appearance > End Battle Notifications > OFF. Hopefully you won't miss something exciting by doing this. The marquee will disappear a week after the kaiju fight.

β–Ά CHOCOLATES.

On the day of February 14th, every Outsider will find that there is a box (or several) of chocolate. As soon as their eyes fall on them, their oculars will automatically generate a message, almost as if it were a mission debrief:

β–ˆ β–ˆ β–ˆ MISSION OBJECTIVE:
βœ– Hand out all chocolate before end of day.
βœ– Failure to comply will be grounds for disciplinary action.

It's unknown who the order has come from, but those who don't hand out chocolates by the end of the day, will find that the very next morning, they are confined to their room for a full 24 hours.

During the duration of the holiday, Outsiders will see a tiny number in the corner of their oculars, which notates how many chocolates they have left to give. This number may also not move unless the chocolates are delivered with enough good will. Maybe add in a word of gratitude, a flirty comment or two, or even a fake confession if you're bold enough.

HOW TO PLAY: Feel free to use this post to play around with these prompts, or start your own logs (both are completely okay)!

NOTE: Everyone is free to decide how many chocolate boxes they were given and how stubborn SYNTHIA is in moving their count down. It can also be assumed that SYNTHIA will be encouraging and guiding Outsiders to complete this mini-mission.

β–Ά SYNDER.

Although ocular & brain implants are the means of communication nowadays, a messenger service still exists in this world. Mostly everyone uses LINE nowadays even if the need for cellular phones is null. Characters may have already recognized the interface to be somewhat familiar with the similar shade of green and same old slogan.

This time, a new extension appears on the LINE interface. It's something called SYNDER? Outsiders who are curious may investigate this program will see that it has already filled out a dating profile for them. This profile is only visible to Outsiders and not the LILITH crew or any civilians. Outsiders MUST change their dating profile to what they would like or delete it... those who are too slow to change or delete their profile may get an embarrassing profile already filled out for them. Once someone responds to their bio, there's no changing it for the rest of the month! So make sure you check out and see what the system programmed for you.

"The system is updating …

...

The system is updating … Wait.. SEOK DANG, what the β–ˆ β–ˆ β–ˆ did you do?"

Not long after that, another message runs across the screen.

"Hahaha, it was such a shame we had to fight that big whale bitch around this time of year! Love is in the air, so get loving! It might be the last time you get to do it, who knows! Okay, gang, don't tell the Commander or Captain about this. They're kinda serious biz but I really think we all could use some stress relief, right? Fill out this profile below and get minglin'! Or don't. It'll probably do it for you if you don't put SOMETHING though."

Welcome to our second Network Mingle! This is a Tinder mingle; a new application that SEOK DANG has installed into everyone's implants. It's taken a lot of tweaking and hacking behind the rest of the LILITH crew's backs. Seems like the only person on staff who is interested in seeing Outsiders get some is SD himself. These messages are encrypted from the LILITH crew ... besides SD because he's a nosy bastard. Sounds fun.

HOW TO PLAY:
1. In observation of Valentine's Day, this month's text meme is a dating profile! Pick the textarea that is under your TEAM NAME and fill out the spaces.
2. You can write the bio in character or as if Synder programmed their bio for them.
3. Body count can be confusing... even the automatic system doesn't know what that means! Does it mean how many people you have fucked or how many people you have killed? Or both?
4. PROFIT!
5. Special shout out to Roc for giving us this event suggestion!

Participation in this mingle isn’t obligatory, of course. If you don’t want your character to participate, you can simply assume the glitch did not affect them.

We also have a code below for fun, but please don't feel pressured to use it. As always, a regular text thread works out just fine! Most importantly, have fun! All tags on this mingle will count for 2 points each.

(Please remember to put warnings for NSFW/triggering content in the subject header.)

[ That's what he expected. Shit. ]

I'll take them.

[personal profile] sparse 2024-02-17 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I can drop off one box at your doorstep.
stresspoint: (pic#16830379)

[personal profile] stresspoint 2024-02-17 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Just bring them all.
sparse: (pic#16605855)

[personal profile] sparse 2024-02-17 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[ ?! ]

All of them?
stresspoint: (pic#16895941)

[personal profile] stresspoint 2024-02-17 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Bring them. You need to give them out.
sparse: (pic#16615150)

[personal profile] sparse 2024-02-17 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't think you would have a sweet tooth.
stresspoint: (pic#16909351)

[personal profile] stresspoint 2024-02-17 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't worry about that.

[He won't let Blade get punished for something that isn't right.]
sparse: (pic#16788138)

[personal profile] sparse 2024-02-18 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
Are you planning to eat them all?

[ Listen. He's just a tiny bit Concerned. ]
stresspoint: (pic#16830288)

[personal profile] stresspoint 2024-02-19 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
That isn't part of the requirement. You just have to give them to someone.

[ He'll figure the rest out. That way Blade at least doesn't have to worry. ]
sparse: (pic#16651557)

[personal profile] sparse 2024-02-20 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
Then, I'll give you half.

I'll find a way to give out the rest.
stresspoint: (pic#16830291)

[personal profile] stresspoint 2024-02-22 07:20 pm (UTC)(link)
You'll find a way?

Are you sure about that?
sparse: (pic#16651562)

[personal profile] sparse 2024-02-23 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure.

I was thinking I could bring them to where I'm assigned to work.
stresspoint: (pic#16830289)

[personal profile] stresspoint 2024-02-23 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
If you're sure, then all right. But you don't have to keep them.
sparse: (pic#16605846)

[personal profile] sparse 2024-02-23 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
You shouldn't have to keep them either.

[ Could he be feeling bad at the thought of it? Maybe. ]
stresspoint: (Default)

[personal profile] stresspoint 2024-02-23 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
I don't mind.

[ Because he's already given up on his own anyway. ]
sparse: (pic#16605845)

[personal profile] sparse 2024-02-23 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
[ nanamin pls ]

Even if you don't mind, isn't it still troublesome?
stresspoint: (pic#16830354)

[personal profile] stresspoint 2024-02-23 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
[ That gets a slight pause, because no one really asks him that seriously. It's always either something joking or a question after the fact, but not something anyone would have a real conversation about with him. What a novelty! ]

It's troublesome, but it's troublesome for everyone who doesn't already want to deliver chocolates to people. It's an chore outside of our missions, so of course it's annoying.

But I can deal with them. Are you sure you can do the same?
sparse: (pic#16615163)

[personal profile] sparse 2024-02-23 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll do it.

But if it's annoying to you, then why are you making it worse for yourself?

[ It's a novel idea to him, for the most part, that someone would willingly take on a share of his burden. Maybe centuries ago, he would have felt differently about this, but he can only question others' kindness nowadays. ]
stresspoint: (pic#16909351)

[personal profile] stresspoint 2024-02-24 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Because you need to get rid of them.

[Sometimes life is that simple.]

There's no reason for everyone to deal with this inane task if you don't have to.

[Because he cares about others, but that's just not the phrasing he uses.]
sparse: (pic#16788140)

[personal profile] sparse 2024-02-25 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
You shouldn't have to deal with it even more than you have to either.

[ But since Nanami is already taking half of his stash... ]

I'll drop half of it soon. I'll take care of the rest.
stresspoint: (pic#16830350)

[personal profile] stresspoint 2024-02-26 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
No one should have to deal with it, but if some of us have to anyway, then it makes more sense to let others avoid it entirely. That way at least part of our team benefits.

[ See? Logic. Also the thought of Blade not getting rid of even one box was too sad. ]

All right. If you can find people to take them, fine. If you can't, tell me.
sparse: (pic#16605801)

[personal profile] sparse 2024-02-28 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
[ What is this logic? Somehow, it makes less sense now that Nanami explained it, but Blade decides to no longer question it. ]

Sure. I'll reach out if I can't find anyone.

[ But he can only hope that he'll be able to spare Nanami the trouble of dealing with his entire pile of boxes... ]
stresspoint: (pic#16909351)

[personal profile] stresspoint 2024-03-02 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
You can reach out even if you do.

[ Don't think too hard about that one. He just let it slip out. ]
