β–Ά DOWN TIME.

As Outsiders make themselves comfortable back on MAIN BASE, they will be informed of a reward for their great efforts. A pizza party will be held sometime after the kaiju fight and before a Valentine's party. All it really contains is pizza being served in the cafeteria along with the following streamers with balloons:

Those who do you attend the party will still get this message as a marquee text along their ocular device. Characters CAN take this message off, but it's a bit complex. Try under General > Settings > Notifications > Messages > Texts > Alerts > Appearance > End Battle Notifications > OFF. Hopefully you won't miss something exciting by doing this. The marquee will disappear a week after the kaiju fight.

β–Ά CHOCOLATES.


On the day of February 14th, every Outsider will find that there is a box (or several) of chocolate. As soon as their eyes fall on them, their oculars will automatically generate a message, almost as if it were a mission debrief:

β–ˆ β–ˆ β–ˆ MISSION OBJECTIVE:
βœ– Hand out all chocolate before end of day.
βœ– Failure to comply will be grounds for disciplinary action.

It's unknown who the order has come from, but those who don't hand out chocolates by the end of the day, will find that the very next morning, they are confined to their room for a full 24 hours.

During the duration of the holiday, Outsiders will see a tiny number in the corner of their oculars, which notates how many chocolates they have left to give. This number may also not move unless the chocolates are delivered with enough good will. Maybe add in a word of gratitude, a flirty comment or two, or even a fake confession if you're bold enough.

NOTE: Everyone is free to decide how many chocolate boxes they were given and how stubborn SYNTHIA is in moving their count down. It can also be assumed that SYNTHIA will be encouraging and guiding Outsiders to complete this mini-mission.



β–Ά SYNDER.

Although ocular & brain implants are the means of communication nowadays, a messenger service still exists in this world. Mostly everyone uses LINE nowadays even if the need for cellular phones is null. Characters may have already recognized the interface to be somewhat familiar with the similar shade of green and same old slogan.

This time, a new extension appears on the LINE interface. It's something called SYNDER? Outsiders who are curious may investigate this program will see that it has already filled out a dating profile for them. This profile is only visible to Outsiders and not the LILITH crew or any civilians. Outsiders MUST change their dating profile to what they would like or delete it... those who are too slow to change or delete their profile may get an embarrassing profile already filled out for them. Once someone responds to their bio, there's no changing it for the rest of the month! So make sure you check out and see what the system programmed for you.

Not long after that, another message runs across the screen.

"Hahaha, it was such a shame we had to fight that big whale bitch around this time of year! Love is in the air, so get loving! It might be the last time you get to do it, who knows! Okay, gang, don't tell the Commander or Captain about this. They're kinda serious biz but I really think we all could use some stress relief, right? Fill out this profile below and get minglin'! Or don't. It'll probably do it for you if you don't put SOMETHING though."


Welcome to our second Network Mingle! This is a Tinder mingle; a new application that SEOK DANG has installed into everyone's implants. It's taken a lot of tweaking and hacking behind the rest of the LILITH crew's backs. Seems like the only person on staff who is interested in seeing Outsiders get some is SD himself. These messages are encrypted from the LILITH crew ... besides SD because he's a nosy bastard. Sounds fun.

3. Body count can be confusing... even the automatic system doesn't know what that means! Does it mean how many people you have fucked or how many people you have killed? Or both?

[ Yuji took the initiative and has already done his sacred duty in handing out chocolates, long before the bosses above his head commanded him to do it. His list of friends here is growing, and he's having the time of his life, even if it's still a little difficult sometimes. Adjusting is hard, but he's doing his best.

When he stumbles across Nanami and a box of chocolates, his eyes widen for a moment, reaching out to take them reverently. ]

[ He already owes Yuji a gift for his personal efforts of making handmade chocolate to give out. It's more personal than the boxes LILITH gave them, and definitely better than being assigned the task of handing them out, so Nanami feels this much is the least amount of effort he can offer. It's not the same at all.

But he honestly does like Yuji and he thinks he deserves to receive nice things, so it works out. Nanami ruffles Yuji's hair, hopefully lightening the mood a little. ]

Don't make yourself sick eating too much candy.

[ Having come to the realisation that the little app they've been given is actually a dating app, the utter relief that Yuji feels at having found Nanami in person rather than responding to his profile is immense. It could've ended so badly, and with a scolding, so this is a thousand times better. He can handle a little bit of chocolate and some gentle, mature concern, lifting his head to beam.

The ruffle to his hair has him brightening all the more, taking the chocolate with a nod of his head. Best day ever, actually. ]

I won't! I like sweet things, but not as much as people like Gojo-sensei, so it'll be okay. Did you like yours?

[ Nanami doesn't have anything to scold Yuji for. He's a teenager just doing his best against an unfair situation, and it's not unreasonable for Yuji to feel the way he does. There's just very little Nanami can do to ease that feeling. He's doing what he can now, by giving Yuji kindness and trying to prepare him where he can. The rest is up to Yuji to find.

But he does let his hand linger before taking it away. It's gentle encouragement he can leave behind. ]

They were thoughtful. Thank you.

[ It makes Yuji painfully happy, and maybe there's something pathetic about that; something as easy as a ruffle to his hair and his kind word is enough to make him feel as though he's buzzing with happiness. After the last few months, perhaps there's a part of him that wants more of this, to ease some of his burdens, to make him feel as if it was all worth it.

He won't say that aloud, though. ]

[ Making sure Yuji and the other kids have a chance to be happy and experience normal life as kids are part of his burdens. Nanami will always take care of those around him, and that's something Yuji can't ease by doing anything other than slowly finding his own way to adulthood. Nanami will just keep bearing that weight, helping them all have the opportunities he never did, and only a few people know what that means.

But he's not unhappy with his burdens. Not completely, at least. ]

Then we'll do that.

That sounds like a excellent gift, the best return for his Valentine's Day chocolate, before he breathes out and tries to restrain himself.
