▶ DOWN TIME.

As Outsiders make themselves comfortable back on MAIN BASE, they will be informed of a reward for their great efforts. A pizza party will be held sometime after the kaiju fight and before a Valentine's party. All it really contains is pizza being served in the cafeteria along with the following streamers with balloons:

Those who do you attend the party will still get this message as a marquee text along their ocular device. Characters CAN take this message off, but it's a bit complex. Try under General > Settings > Notifications > Messages > Texts > Alerts > Appearance > End Battle Notifications > OFF. Hopefully you won't miss something exciting by doing this. The marquee will disappear a week after the kaiju fight.

▶ CHOCOLATES.


On the day of February 14th, every Outsider will find that there is a box (or several) of chocolate. As soon as their eyes fall on them, their oculars will automatically generate a message, almost as if it were a mission debrief:

✖ Hand out all chocolate before end of day.
✖ Failure to comply will be grounds for disciplinary action.

It's unknown who the order has come from, but those who don't hand out chocolates by the end of the day, will find that the very next morning, they are confined to their room for a full 24 hours.

During the duration of the holiday, Outsiders will see a tiny number in the corner of their oculars, which notates how many chocolates they have left to give. This number may also not move unless the chocolates are delivered with enough good will. Maybe add in a word of gratitude, a flirty comment or two, or even a fake confession if you're bold enough.

HOW TO PLAY: Feel free to use this post to play around with these prompts, or start your own logs (both are completely okay)!

NOTE: Everyone is free to decide how many chocolate boxes they were given and how stubborn SYNTHIA is in moving their count down. It can also be assumed that SYNTHIA will be encouraging and guiding Outsiders to complete this mini-mission.



▶ SYNDER.

Although ocular & brain implants are the means of communication nowadays, a messenger service still exists in this world. Mostly everyone uses LINE nowadays even if the need for cellular phones is null. Characters may have already recognized the interface to be somewhat familiar with the similar shade of green and same old slogan.

This time, a new extension appears on the LINE interface. It's something called SYNDER? Outsiders who are curious may investigate this program will see that it has already filled out a dating profile for them. This profile is only visible to Outsiders and not the LILITH crew or any civilians. Outsiders MUST change their dating profile to what they would like or delete it... those who are too slow to change or delete their profile may get an embarrassing profile already filled out for them. Once someone responds to their bio, there's no changing it for the rest of the month! So make sure you check out and see what the system programmed for you.

Not long after that, another message runs across the screen.

"Hahaha, it was such a shame we had to fight that big whale bitch around this time of year! Love is in the air, so get loving! It might be the last time you get to do it, who knows! Okay, gang, don't tell the Commander or Captain about this. They're kinda serious biz but I really think we all could use some stress relief, right? Fill out this profile below and get minglin'! Or don't. It'll probably do it for you if you don't put SOMETHING though."

Welcome to our second Network Mingle! This is a Tinder mingle; a new application that SEOK DANG has installed into everyone's implants. It's taken a lot of tweaking and hacking behind the rest of the LILITH crew's backs. Seems like the only person on staff who is interested in seeing Outsiders get some is SD himself. These messages are encrypted from the LILITH crew ... besides SD because he's a nosy bastard. Sounds fun.

HOW TO PLAY:
1. In observation of Valentine's Day, this month's text meme is a dating profile! Pick the textarea that is under your TEAM NAME and fill out the spaces.
2. You can write the bio in character or as if Synder programmed their bio for them.
3. Body count can be confusing... even the automatic system doesn't know what that means! Does it mean how many people you have fucked or how many people you have killed? Or both?

PIZZA PARTY/CHOCOLATE.

[ As much as Aki likes to be rewarded for a job well done - it's what keeps him going financially, after all - this one feels a little bit uncomfortable. Getting the KO on a kaiju doesn't mean that much, in the end, does it? It just means that he was the one to land the final hit. It doesn't mean that he did anything particularly special.

Still, good food is good food, and he can be found hovering around the pizza party and eating a little, greeting anyone that he recognises and doing his best to appear polite and accommodating, as usual.

Later, he can be found wandering around a little, holding a little bag of Valentine's Day chocolate and looking a little... Awkward? For all that he might be a handsome kind of guy, he's never done the whole 'chocolate' thing before. School was getting through education to become a Devil Hunter as soon as he was allowed, and since then he hasn't had anyone to share the day with.

He looks distinctly uncomfortable as he frowns at the bag. ]

[ wolfwood doesn't know anything about this whole valentine's business, but he's gathered that it revolves around couples and showing affection. why there needs to be a whole day dedicated to that, he doesn't know, but he's putting off passing out his chocolates for now to instead take a smoke break.

he's not entirely sure what exactly tips him off first, but he taps out another cigarette from the carton and offers it to aki after watching him for a moment, nodding to the chocolate in his hands. ]

[ Oh, thank God.

Aki takes the cigarette without hesitation, lifting it to his mouth and letting it rest there before he grabs one of the chocolates in his bag. He tucks it into Wolfwood's hands before he picks up his lighter and flicks it on, lighting his cigarette.

It's a relief - he tries to stop himself having more than one or two a day, but he can't stop himself from enjoying the sweet relief after all the stress. ]

[ ah, his people. there's a crooked grin on wolfwood's face when he sees the relief that comes from the first pull; nothing can quite compare to the bittersweetness of nicotine, even if the stuff here is more mild compared to the cigarettes he's had back home. ]

Don't mention it.

[ wolfwood isn't really so generous, but maybe it's that they're teammates, or the fact that they've all just got out of a kaiju fight alive. there's no quicker way to bond than surviving, after all.

he tucks the chocolate in his pocket, lighting up his own stick and taking a drag. ]

You came in at a wild time, huh?

[ He had been so against smoking, once, before his senpai had got involved, and now... When he smokes he thinks of her, he feels relieved, he can get his brain working for the day ahead. Idle things that he ought not to dwell on, but...

Easy revenge, or something like that. ]

You could say that. I'm used to it.

[ He swaps the cigarette to his metal arm, flicking some of the ash off to the ground before he tilts his head back and sighs. Getting the KO isn't that big of a deal, is it? ]

This is all normal for this place, so we have to adjust.

(It's okay. The only thing to make things less uncomfortable is to throw things off completely so in comes Tsurumaru Kuninaga. He practically flies at Aki in a flash of white and once he's close enough, he raises his elbow to prop it up against Aki and... check out his bag.)

Huh? You still have so much!

[ Cursed to be dragged around by menaces his entire life. Aki holds up the bag a little, shaking his head. ]

It's strange, for a grown man to hand out chocolate to strangers.

[cranekin]

(He tilts his head,)

Is it?

(He doesn't think it is. But he also doesn't really understand the custom. Either way, he's reaching into the sleeve of his kimono right now and holding out... one chocolate.)

It doesn't seem so bad to me.

[ Aki sighs softly, reaching out and taking the chocolate. He then lifts his bag, holding it out for Tsurumaru. ]

Help yourself to as many as you want. It'll be easier for me.

[ Would LILITH punish him for it when his name is being celebrated? Probably. ]

(He's already dipping his hand into the bag and helping himself to a piece. Or two. )

Even after seeing me before, you think highly of me?
