I told you. It was fate. It was always going to happen.

He just didn't know it himself.

You can understand why that is so terribly... unappealing, yes?

You think the end of the world should be appealing?

[ Muramasa asks Silco this. Silco, the guy who did try to end a world. #justcrauthings ]

... Maybe I can guess. You've always been a bit of a bastard, Silco. Nobody else here is quite like you. Sometimes, I have to wonder how much of your rot comes from picking at your own wounds to keep them festering.

[ because that karma, man. ]

I don't much see the appeal in the end of things, personally. It's just something that is — same as the new things that come after.

[ A longer moment.

Because Muramasa is far too correct, but Silco doesn't see it that way. He disagrees in a fundamental level. Even if he's right.
]

How much of my "rot", is it? I've been called a great many things, most of them unpleasant, but rotted hasn't been a common one. I wonder how much of your perception is based in fiction, when the truth is difficult for most to grasp.

[ No, no. He's right, Silco. It's fine. ]

The new thing after... the thing that ends. Ah, but wouldn't it be best to have control over it?

[ NO ]
