now? ok! Hello everyone! I'm Jessica. I'm new here and I've got a few questions.

[She holds up one finger.] Is killing kaiju the only way to make money around here?
[A second finger.] What sort of style clothes do you wear to a wedding in this town?
[A third finger.] Does anyone have experience setting up a shrine?

[She flashes the camera a smile, then has another moment of blinking and fumbling to disconnect the recording.]

its for my goddess, Althena. i don't know if anyone else here knows about her yet. she's the best!

do you know what her shrine will need, though? maybe i could help you find what you need.

it's ok. it just means i have a job to do here.

i know i'll need to have a goddess statue built. other than that, i'm not really sure what needs to happen on the back end to run the shrine. i'm a student back home, so i've never had to run one myself.

an extra job on top of what we already have. like i said, i'm happy to help — i'm from a religious school, so i've got some familiarity with the topic.

do you think you can sketch out what your god's typical shrine looks like?

ummm, i'm no artist. here's sort of what it should look like?

[She's tried to draw a statue and an altar with some aspirational features that are more likely to be phase 2. It's... not good.]

a raised dais with a round base for the pedestal, half-arched windows? is it a dome structure or an angled roof?

i could look up some books on architecture so we can plan this out.

a lot of this is going to have to come later. at some point, when i get enough kryptos, i want to put in a fountain at the dais. the Goddess likes her statues to be near running water when it's possible.

the shape of the building itself doesn't really make a difference, so i'm ok with working with what we have. it's a dome back home, but i don't know how to build roofs, so...

[Megumi, you are too precious for this world, don't get bullied into creating a whole cathedral.]

got it. we can table it for a later discussion. we'll need to secure parts first, anyway, and find a nice spot with running water already present. it's tokyo, though, so we should be able to find a river or stream outside city bounds easy enough.

i guess we need to take jobs. for money.

i guess picking a spot that already has water would be way easier. you're really smart!

i've gotten leads on a few jobs i can take on to help get some funds. i think all the gods will understand if we start out with something small and then add to it when we have more money. it's the thought that counts.
