[the_fourteenth]

For those who do not know, several Outsiders have vanished into rifts. The first was Ereshkigal, during the kaiju battle in Egypt. As far as I know, no contact has been established.

Since then, three other Outsiders have also vanished: Ratio, Godzilla, Tsurumaru. I have been investigating but coming up mostly short.

There were no witnesses for Ratio's disappearance, but Nyuu and Hayakawa have confirmed that a rift opened and took both Godzilla and Tsurumaru. Only they were taken, despite not being alone at the time.

I may have a clue as to who is next.

I do not wish to cause panic or alarm, and I am not sure what can be done to prevent anyone else from being taken. I will bring these findings to LILITH as well.

During the mission in Egypt, we were inserted into the dreams and memories of other Outsiders. I saw one of Ereshkigal's. In this memory, she was speaking with several other Outsiders. Seven to be exact. Among them were Ratio, Godzilla, and Tsurumaru.

The other four were Yzak, Hiyori, Kabru, and Silco.

Kabru is already gone, though his name is gone from the network, a glitch. Those taken by the rifts are still listed, but unable to be contacted.

I would encourage those others in then memory to not be alone until this is solved.

If you have any other information you would like to document in this post, please do. We need to share what we can in order to get to the bottom of this. I pray you all stay safe.

Obviously the ideal is to prevent anyone else from getting taken, period, but I'm trying to think of ways we can prepare for the worst case scenario. Can we maybe put together some kind of rift survival kit?

We know the rift has profound effects on living beings even outside of it. Now a goddess has been trapped inside. I can't even fathom what might have occurred in there.

It seems very deliberate, doesn't it?

Ereshkigal is a powerful goddess. We know the rift can effect living being in profound ways, even if you just get too close. Who knows what's happened to someone like her in there? Anything seems possible.

It does seem like a very deliberate choice of victims. I can't even imagine what could be happening in there. The effects the rift has even to those who get close to it are troubling enough. But someone of her stature, who's been in there this long? The mind reels.

I can't fathom what might be going on to someone of Ereshkigal's stature who's been inside the rift this long. We're dealing with a goddess and uncontrolled cosmic energy.
Anything is possible.

the fact that the rifts are appearing right where people are is, in my opinion, a sign that there's some deliberate intent behind them. whether it's Eresh or something else... I dunno. I wish we could mount a rescue attempt and get her out of there. she's going to be in rough shape by the time we figure anything out

No, but one step is better than none, even if our goal is hundreds more away. We will find a way to get them back.

There still hasn't been a ping from Ereshkigal's device, but since we're still working on sending things through the rift so LILITH can gather information about the fortification success, I'll make sure we adjust the programming to try and get a read on the others. Maybe we'll have more luck with those who have only just gone missing.

hopefully we're wrong and perhaps her being a goddess helps her in some way.
but just in case, we should be bracing ourselves for the worst and come up with a plan to deal with that.

Well, I appear to be in danger regardless of which theory seems more likely.

Which is great to have to worry about.

I'm in my room, because I'm already starting to program our other missing allies into our drone tests.

I do wonder how plausible that is, considering. But being safe is something I always endeavor to be.

It's my only theory for now. Dante theorizes that it might be related to those who have gotten the heaviest hits on the kaiju. You are also among that group, yes? As am I, though it was not recent.

If anyone would have the best chance of survival in there, it's a goddess. The others, though...]

We do need to be prepare to enter the rift, I believe. I don't think it's a good idea. We should try with drones first. But if that fails...

I can assure you that any personal feelings for the particular Outsiders involved are irrelevant to me. All equally deserve to be returned home safely.
