Blabity blabity blah blah we're all conscripted into a war we don't know the true depths of. [Leo waves a hand dismissively.] Whateverrrr. We'll figure it out. We got butt to kick, names to take, insert heroic speech here. I'll cook you up something inspiring after a bit of a gab session, alright?

[A very normal start to a video post right here. The turtle is seated in his brothers' dorm room, just lazily taking up his space. He is Leisuring.]

I'd like to belatedly say 'sorry if my brother pissed you off', cause apparently Dee has been stirring dramaaaa without me.

Which brings me to the real question, whose gonna spill tea on what my twin has been up to? He's tight-lipped about some stuff, sooo, someone fill a guy in?

[yes, he's starting this conversation WHILE in his brother's room.]

[Okay going to lean on Leo a little now. A lot of stuff is just... Goodness, he's tired.]

[He loosely wraps an arm around his twin.] I can tell you did, Dee. You put yourself out there.

[Him being this social is a pretty big step over all. Much less trying to get through to someone he saw a shared connection with.]

It didn't work out, which sucks, and hurts. A lot.

[He wants to cry, but he can't. Got to keep it together, bad enough he got upset about... Well the Krang thing back home, which Kaga knows about. Knows how that made him feel and knowing her she's probably said something rude to Leo about that as well...

Now he's just getting into his own head and overthinking things, judging by the fact he's not said anything or reacted to Leo putting an arm around him. Just working himself up it seems.]

[That lack of response is Not Good. Leo gives Donnie a very gentle squeeze. Pressure in the way he knows Donnie likes.]

I got you, Dee. [It is soft reassurance. Steady.] I'm right here with you.

I want to go home.

[Sure Leo being here is nice, but home means he doesn't have to try and be social. Or nice. Or act like shit is fine when it's very obviously not fine. Or deal with feelings. And empathy.]

[Leo isn't surprised by the sentiment. With how long Donnie has been here...? Of course, he wants to go home.

He gives his brother a squeeze.] We'll get home, Dee. Promise.

[It's no Raph-level squeeze, but it'll do. As he lets out a shakey breath and brings a hand to wipe at his face.

NO TEARS, not allowed.] Yeah, yeah...

I'm tired, if you want to go do stuff I'll be fine.

[No one can compete with the mighty Raph Squeeze. He sees those tears, Donthan.]

Naw, I'm fine with just chilling here. [He rubs Donnie's shoulder, instinctually avoiding any hand to shell contact.]

[No need to worry about shell contact, he's got his battle shell on after all.]

You sure? [He's fine being by himself if Leo wants to go do stuff, or look around, or anything.]

[Worry about the soft shell is hard to turn off, apparently.]

Yeah, I'm sure. [He does not mean to be so sappy, but it pops out. Near death experiences via alien dimensions sure change a guy emotionally.] Nowhere else I'd rather be than with you.

[he doesn't even feel like fighting about it.]
