Greetings everyone (edit: except Silco).

I come to ask for your shared wisdom following a disagreement I have had with one of our peers, Bakugō Katsuki. I am of the opinion that his unusual vocabulary, his aggressive predisposition and his unstable temper are a detriment to his social life. I have personally experienced difficulties communicating properly with him, seeing how all conversations quickly devolve into a purposeless rain of insulting words before any progress can be made.

When I said as much, he suggested the problem comes from myself. He accuses me of taking his words too literally and of behaving in too much of a maternal manner towards him. I admit it is a possibility we simply don't see eye to eye - however, I doubt his temper, poor choice of words and aggressiveness are limited to our interactions.

This is why I am asking for your wisdom and opinion, especially those familiar with Bakugo to - hopefully - help him see reason.

Uh-huh. [Polls, interviews, consumer supply, a bunch of other bullshit they ask about before doing.] Kidnapping people you want to fight for you as mercenaries is a shitty decision. They didn't take us cause we're weak.

I don't think the choice between fighting or not fighting is as... present as you think it is. Has anyone tried to refuse? Time and time again? Just stay in the base while they send the rest of us like little soldiers to take on giant monsters?

What would happen, I wonder? Perhaps I should try it next time, and see?

I don't know about you, but that sounds a worse fate than getting eaten by a Kaiju at this point.

None I've seen. Not every Outsider fights. Some work medical and run supplies or evacuations. Most people don't like being bored outta their minds though.

You wanna try next time, go for it. Tell us what happens, guinea pig.

[Bakugo's wondered the same thing. LILITH is able to knock them out and mute their powers via the ocular, but neither of those would help if an Outsider refused to fight. Noncompliance would likely end up with the Outsider simply sent home and deemed a failed soldier. LILITH doesn't always land good candidates.]

We will. We didn't come here to lose. We'll slaughter these bastards until they stop coming or we shut the fucking door forever.

A few years? I've already been gone long enough. While the people here continue to ask for me [ him! ] to fight monsters, to save them, my own have nothing of the sort.

I'm sure you can understand my dissatisfaction with the arrangement.

[Even if he gets that's mostly sarcasm on the other end. Still, he brings up an interesting point. What if someone truly didn't care and refused to assist at all? Likely get the boot. Wasting time and resources on someone who won't budge is idiotic.]

Anyway, he's curious too, but not curious enough to try it. What if the consequences were worse? Silco is a piece of shit, and self-serving, and a snake; but he's also a powerless human who wants to survive. He's doing his best. ]

I noticed that LILITH does tend to target groups. People from the same world. Have you? I wonder if they think it will help with the cohesion?

Yeah. Most people brought here are either fighters or have skills useful in a wartime effort.

It's rare they bring in someone useless. They're probably able to get an idea of a world or target before launching a net.
