To all outsiders;

I am very sorry the flower shop was closed for most of the month. I know how important flowers are to keeping a good morale and bringing happiness to all. However, I am happy to announce it is re-opening right now under a new name:

. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.

˖⁺‧₊˚✦ helping dead and living souls one at a time ₊˚⊹ ࿔

That's right - as you may have surmised from the slogan - the flower shop is re-opening in a new location, next to the cemetery. Tsuru and I have also recruited Sophie to work with us, so we'll be more efficient with our duties. We have natural and genetically-modified flowers of all sorts, so please don't hesitate to stop by the shop if you would like to lighten up your day.

Please leave a ♥ Like and a Comment under the shop's listing, we are all working very hard to bring you the best flowers in the universe. Thank you so much for your time and attention.

[ They've talked about this, Ereshkigal. About not needing to act like a goddess here. He's going to ignore her attempt to be demure; he vastly prefers her excited and joyful of her own accomplishments. ]

Your attention and care is evident in the longevity of your bouquets. Aventurine and I enjoyed the sight of them in our room every day.

[ It was just a little thing that brought life into their small room, but it complimented the nature-oriented design of his room, which was inspired by his home planet. ]

Out of curiosity, have you considered selling other types of flora? Household plants would be a welcome sight on base.

[ Given the state of the planet, it would be much harder to procure plants that would normally be plentiful on an unbroken world, but it didn't mean the planet was bereft of flora. Far from it, actually. ]

I am no botanist, but if you require a biologist's perspective in resolving issues, I am happy to lend you my aid.

[ No botanist, he says, but given his near-genius intellect, his capability might rival an average one. He'd certainly be capable of formulating effective fertilizers or engineering devices and systems to care for the plants. ]

[ Indeed, Ratio does have a logical answer for this! ]

They are responding to the vibrations of your voice. Plenty of studies have shown that sound can stimulate growth in certain types of vegetation, which includes speech and music. In nature, noise indicates the potential for greater competition or danger, thus prompting plants to grow faster and hardier in an attempt to survive.

As far as I have researched, flora on this planet are incapable of understanding speech or responding to emotions, so it is merely a response to physical stimuli.
