Greetings everyone. I am contacting you on behalf of Nicholas D. Wolfwood (user name: punisher).

He recently made a post offering his services as a priest to those who wish to confess their sins. While admirable, the payment he asks in return for such a service is unacceptable. Normally he should be chastised for such behavior, however the money he hopes to earn through his service is to be used for a noble cause: helping the orphaned children of this world. I believe this cause to be an important one and he deserves to be commended for having decided to take it on!

Unfortunately, he lacks the confidence to ask for donations, hence his resorting to selling what should be a sacred service for money. He is convinced nobody will help him, as people typically never give anything away without the expectation of getting something back.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could reassure him that the people in this world are generous. While nothing is prepared yet to receive donations, I am sure he will feel heartened to see the kindness and benevolence we are all capable of. I will personally donate some of my own money when the time comes.

Yes. In the world I hail from, I rule over Death and the Underworld.

[ he would normally struggle to believe this, but he's heard of other god-like beings amongst the outsiders. how does he feel about this? in the story books, hell and the underworld are always depicted as grim places, ruled by demonic beings. ereshkigal is nothing like that at all. death is a normal part of life, anyway. humans only demonize it in stories because they fear it. ]

You're not what I expected at all. One would expect the Grim Reaper to be frightening, but instead, you look so cute...

Yes. I help them rest and find peace so they can find the strength to move towards reincarnation, eventually. Though they can stay down there forever if they so wish.

I see. Not much is certain about the afterlife where I come from, but it would be nice if there were someone like you taking care of the ones who pass. [ like his birth mother. ]

I can't understand what they say.
They sleep and rest, searching for inner peace till they can move on.

But though they are not company in the way people hear the word,
I am happy and proud to care for them in their sleep.

There are no gods amongst the people here besides the few Outsiders LILITH has snatched up. No one can tell you how gods should or should not behave.

It's funny ... The gods I know from stories tend to be authoritarian and demand the servitude of the people.

Many gods do too where I come from.
And this is probably why they only exist in stories any more.
Gods should help humans, not command them.
