[text] @goddess of death
Greetings everyone. I am contacting you on behalf of Nicholas D. Wolfwood (user name: punisher).
He recently made a post offering his services as a priest to those who wish to confess their sins. While admirable, the payment he asks in return for such a service is unacceptable. Normally he should be chastised for such behavior, however the money he hopes to earn through his service is to be used for a noble cause: helping the orphaned children of this world. I believe this cause to be an important one and he deserves to be commended for having decided to take it on!
Unfortunately, he lacks the confidence to ask for donations, hence his resorting to selling what should be a sacred service for money. He is convinced nobody will help him, as people typically never give anything away without the expectation of getting something back.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could reassure him that the people in this world are generous. While nothing is prepared yet to receive donations, I am sure he will feel heartened to see the kindness and benevolence we are all capable of. I will personally donate some of my own money when the time comes.
Thank you for your time.

They're terrified. Their lives are cut short before they could even begin.
Death is beautiful for it makes life precious.
But it is always sorrowful when it comes too early.
I have never been able to help living children before.
I suppose this is why I am so positive.
[ That said, she can't say any of those names sound good. If he was Tezcatlipoca, she'd assume he's trying to rile her up! ]
How about Ereshkigal?

[funny, his true job makes him a dealer of death and here he is, talking to the actual Dealer of Death here.]
do the dead usually hate the ones that send 'em there?
[He's losing focus here.]
well, the positivity suits ya. but there's no way I'm using that long ass name.

"Death" is merely the name it takes when it applies to life.
[ Don't get her started, that's where she'd fight because death is pure and beautiful!
(so she says) ]
Some do. Some feel guilty, others resentful. My duty is to ensure they find peace so they can move on.

sounds a lot easier than the hell we're promised back home.
might feel a little better if I knew I was sending people to someone like you.

That said; hell is what they're promised? Does he mean their lives are hellish, or does he mean every souls end up in hell? ]
Are you speaking literally or figuratively?
no subject
Both.

Maybe she's just hurting a lot and will change the afterlife for the best if she finds a friend.

That so? So you're saying death deities are lonely?

I know my Japanese counterpart has it pretty bad.
I don't think Hades is very happy in his domain either.
Tezcatlipoca will tell you he's doing just fine, but he's not a real death god so ignore him.

It is how things are meant to be. They are down there to rest and find peace, not to entertain me.

sounds like a shit job. and don't bother rattling off about duty. just cus it's noble doesn't mean it sucks any less. isolation, even among a sea of people, ain't good for anybody.

Thank you.
