[text] @goddess of death
Greetings everyone. I am contacting you on behalf of Nicholas D. Wolfwood (user name: punisher).
He recently made a post offering his services as a priest to those who wish to confess their sins. While admirable, the payment he asks in return for such a service is unacceptable. Normally he should be chastised for such behavior, however the money he hopes to earn through his service is to be used for a noble cause: helping the orphaned children of this world. I believe this cause to be an important one and he deserves to be commended for having decided to take it on!
Unfortunately, he lacks the confidence to ask for donations, hence his resorting to selling what should be a sacred service for money. He is convinced nobody will help him, as people typically never give anything away without the expectation of getting something back.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could reassure him that the people in this world are generous. While nothing is prepared yet to receive donations, I am sure he will feel heartened to see the kindness and benevolence we are all capable of. I will personally donate some of my own money when the time comes.
Thank you for your time.

@hellonurse
to complete strangers, no less. ]
I'll donate some of my own money, too.
[ oftentimes, an act kindness inspires others. it's no less true, here and now. but look at her! he lacks the confidence to ask for donations. speaking on others behalves to do a good thing. go, ere, go. ]
We just got a pretty good check, right? I'll put aside a portion of that and give it to the cause.
I had no idea. When I saw the post, I thought it seemed weird to have people pay to confess.

I haven't been using most of my money since we're housed and fed, so I have much I can donate.
[ That gala dress is one of the very few purchase she's made. Meanwhile Hiyori is human and should spend her money on stuff that'll make her happier! ]
I do think it is weird too. It reminds me of how my sister works... And anything that's in any way comparable to Ishtar cannot be good.

[ with a poverty god. that's not important. her gala dress might've been her first big purchase since being here, too. other than the random article of clothing, here and there. fuzzy hoodies and the like. boba tea. ]
Oh, you have a sister.[ no, hm, not uncommon for gods to have siblings. this is just the first she's heard of it. as such, she's curious. ]
With a sibling rivalry, huh?
[ HELLO, CAN OF WORMS ]

She's immature, loud, obnoxious, irresponsible and shameless.
I do not think we will ever see eye to eye.
[ Challenge: get them to admit they like and care for each other (impossible). ]
Are you okay Hiyori?
Please do let me know if you have money issues.
[ She won't allow for her to live in poverty here! ]
crawls back
Sounds like Yato sometimes.
[ and look at THEM.
... is she okay? (NOT AFTER BEING KIDNAPPED) did she - oh ]
That was forever ago!! I was a kid. [ though she supposes she still owes kofuku
a lot. ]
Besides, as much as I appreciate it, there's no way I could take your hard-earned money even if you offered. I'd rather work for any kindness you showed me. Fair and square.
gasps!!!
I would not compare Yato to her.
I think too highly of him for that.
[ He's so sweet, considerate and dignified compared to her!
That's how bad Ishtar is, never doubt it. ]
This is an admirable way to look at things.
You are indeed a very hard-working and strong human!
Still, acts of kindness between friends should not be paid or anything of the sort.
lays on
Do you? I bet he'd be really happy to hear that. He might even behave more often.
[ haha yeah the gala haha would ere be relieved to know she gave yato a stern talkin' to??? just wait. gala time was just the beginning of what kind of shenanigans he gets up to. yet hiyori loves him anyway.
since hiyori doesn't know ishtar, she's reserving judgment but she DOES trust ereshkigal enough to not doubt her. she's just imagining a fem!yato though. like when he possessed her body and went around her school, advertising himself with business cards. you can imagine how that went.
>yato
>dignified
pick one. ]
How about this? I'll take any act of kindness as long as you're not giving me money. Like, one of us taking each other out for dinner! Or buying you a cute sweater I found. Or keeping each other company if we're lonely. Being a listening ear whenever we need it. Those sorts of things.
no subject
I'll be sure to tell him next time we meet then.
[ ... That's going to be super awkward, but that's a problem for future her.
And honestly fem!yato is more accurate than she imagines, with a heavy dose of tsun and lots more shamelessness.
...
Dignity just doesn't exist with those two. ]
Very well then.
After next mission, I will invite you for dinner.
It will not be a dinner made by myself though, for your own safety.
[ And for her survival, really. ]
no subject
Okay.
[ she's happy to read the first part. when it comes to the second?
"for her own safety?" ah. yeah, she gets it. (does she?) ]
You know what's easy to make and delicious? Ramen. We can do that. Have you ever had it?
no subject
It was really good.
But I am afraid it is far beyond my skills...
I am still get accustomed to ingredients other than those I had available in the Underworld.
[ Do. Not. Ask. ]

pour hot water
eresh????? ]
I can help you make cup ramen whenever you want. I've heard putting cheese on top is pretty good, too.
no subject
It isn't.
Don't underestimate her ability to ruin any edible food. ]
I see.
It sounds intriguing.
I am sure together we'll succeed in cooking this!
