they were alarming, but very flavourful. if i had to pick a flavour as 'best', it would be the cherry ones. also if you have a window or door, open it.

good. it dented the wall a little the last time i sent a delivery.

[ as if on cue, a small red Something comes barreling in through said open door at terminal velocity, stopping with a sort of mid-air screech a mere inch from the opposing wall, or head, depending on what happens to be the most in the way of its trajectory.

it seems to be a hummingbird. a bright red, gleaming hummingbird carrying a package twice the size of itself, suspended in a little pink handkerchief clutched tight in tiny talons.

upon receiving said package, Snack Man will discover it is, in fact, ten (10) full packets of american pop rocks in an array of distinctly american flavours. what IS a blue raspberry anyway? ]

[ the bird seems very proud of itself, having pulled off such a tricky manoeuvre as a dead stop in midair. it puffs up proudly, hovering in place, before it makes a neat little landing atop Snack Man's fluffy white head, handkerchief and all. ]

(He will allow it... meanwhile, Tsurumaru's own hummingbirds are probably huddled together staring in a mix of AWE and FEAR at this newcomer,)

its duty now done, sekkekkyu-san gives a single triumphant PEEP before rising into the air like a war copter, giving the other little hummingbirds a once-over before it starts its much more sedate sojourn back home (presumably), bumbling along at face-level and out the door. ]

yes, but it keeps yuji’s company. a little green one called wasabi. i didn’t think about getting more. maybe that can change now when i am less broke.

The one who made me made many others like me but none of us were alive at first.
You could consider those swords to be like my family, made by a common creator.
However, I can't remember a time with any of them. It's as if we never met.
