Well, I have shaped and used many a weapon in my time, but none spoke with me! Or took on a human-shaped form.

It is new and delightful, I should have said. Did you take this form just to be able to chat with your wielder?

No, this form was given to me by my master. It's more convenient than my true form.

You know, in a sense of the word? I am. All weapons are created with war in mind after all, and I am the god of it.

Haa, but your master must have thought fondly of you. I would not think a blade that can speak and walk away would be "convenient" at all.

A god of war? Yes, when you put it that way, all weapons are born from you.

As for my master... the one who gave me this form is far from my first. By the time I came into their possession, the age of swords had long since passed.
My master isn't much of a warrior so it makes more sense to leave the fighting to those more capable.

Tch. Your master sounds disrespectful of you, then. A poor fit! How dare someone claim mastery over you when they are unable to support you to your fullest potential!

He knew he couldn't draw my full potential in his hands.
He gave me this form so that I could serve to the fullest.

(... And maybe even go beyond it but he isn't sure how to do that yet. He's seen others grow beyond their stories but for someone like him, he can't quite find his way.)

After many boring years, he gave me a purpose once more and my days are filled with more surprises than I can count. If he called me again, I would answer his call every time; no matter what he asked me to do.
