on one hand I want to say that every world is probably exciting enough for me

but on the other, yeah, shit was popping off back home. dinosaurs are back, so especially used to big critters lately

yep. wouldn't say this one is going well either, but it's going better than the other six, considering they were destroyed. technically better than the "main" one, so much as "main" means anything, since that one got totally fucked but eh

gets complicated to explain. I only have insight about them because I can see all timelines and futures (generally speaking) (also not here, before you ask)

well at least in my world's case? hubris, plain and simple. mages sometimes have the power to make shit happen, but not all of them have the sense to think it through.

surprised that you're chill about the multiple timelines thing. guess it's easier being here, but still. usually a lot for people to wrap their heads around.

Well, could've been worse. I would've driven myself insane at knowing that there are other timelines where things could've been better or worse for me.

But that's just something that a human like me can't control. Out of sight, out of mind as they say.

and that's the right way to be. don't mean it in a paternalistic way, there's just plenty of stuff that it's better for regular mortals to not have to worry about. like that kinda shit is firmly in the realm of the divine's job

like last place I was hanging was trying to foist creating world(s?) on regular folks and that's something I'm solidly against

right? you get it. people are awfully sensitive when I remind them that they're just small pieces of the world. don't say it to be mean, it's just a fact

but it's why I do kind of dig this world more. kaiju are still a big problem, but that feels much more solvable by human effort. like, if I were just overseeing this world like I normally do instead of getting dragged in, I would just leave it to yall

[ There's a story there obviously, but he doesn't pry. Maybe one day she'll tell him, maybe she won't. He's patient when it comes to things like that, since he'll listen to people when they need it rather than be pushy. Luckily, he's not left with needing to shift the conversation, though. ]
