That is a sentiment I agree with. Novel experiences bring with them new knowledge, new understanding and broadens one's perspective. To seek it for one's pleasure is also sensible course of action.

What interest have you in the academic?

Hmm! I mentioned it to someone before that I wanted to be something of a travelling meteorologist and climatologist in one. It's a little more complicated where I'm from, but I had to sink my head in all sorts of things: atmospheric and environmental sciences, physics and geography… You really can't forget about the mathematics either, when it comes to modeling data. Just to name a few.

I never did get to take the examination for it, but the concepts aren't just things you forget. Let me guess, you're a natural born talent at anything you set your mind to?

But I'm sure even you have fields in particular that you're interested in, and an opinion or two on our current weather patterns. Yeah?

I would not say everything, but yes, most concepts come to me easily. Those that didn't, I laboured to understand. A lack or wealth of talent is no excuse to avoid hard work.

It would be difficult to narrow down my primary interest. Any sort of knowledge that can be used to generate solutions for both theoretical and practical problems interest me. Meteorology and climatology are not among the fields that fall under my expertise, though I have certainly read up on publications in that sphere when handling projects with incidental relevance.

I have been probing into the planet's environmental concerns to determine where I should concentrate my efforts first. Your opinion would be invaluable during this exploration.

That would depend on what level of opinion you're looking for… Aren't there already guys in LILITH who dedicate themselves to this stuff?

Most of LILITH's research is focused on kaiju and utilizing that knowledge to generate technology to aid us on our missions. If they find solutions that restore the environment, it is only incidental, or because a significant collapse that will affect our safety is imminent.

[ He can sense the trepidation in those words. It's a little disappointing, as he has yet to meet anyone who can match him in interest for research, but he'll take what he can get here, since most Outsiders were brought to the planet for their combat ability. ]

Whatever you may provide will be sufficient. We have a dearth of researchers among us. I am willing to accept anyone who wishes to aid me so long as they are not a total fool and are amenable to training.
