[Everyone has to know. Some saw what happens to Ereshkigal during the fight, some only know that she disappeared. As the one responsible, Taryon feels he's deserved the position on breaking the bad news to ll Outsiders.]

It is with a heavy heart that I must relay to you all that our friend Ereshkigal is not with us any longer. She was thrown into a Rift by the kaiju and vanished. She fought valiantly and tried to protect me even in her last moments. I'm sorry. I wish we didn't suffer such a heavy loss in this fight. - Taryon Darrington

we don't know enough about the rifts to say she's definitely gone for good, right? she might pop out from another one at some point! until we know for sure she's gone, we should be out there looking for her, or at least keeping an eye out in case she shows up again and needs help!

There are kaiju on the other side, I'm aware of that. It reminds me of the time when my friends traveled to the Shadowfell, only they were prepared and deliberately investigating the plane.

I don't know. None of us know about the Rifts. We have to keep researching in Alexandria and find out.

Besides, I've felled goddesses more powerful than Ereshkigal. I would not be so certain that she's that strong in comparison.

[Were they close? Maybe they weren't the closest of confidants or anything like that, but they do have... Had? A rapport. He also knows she's been good to Yzak, which counts for quite a bit in his book.

All that really matters is, he considers her a friend. And it's tearing him up to hear that she's missing. The news being broken by Tary has him extra wigged out, making it all too easy to jump to the possibility of LILITH... Bringing her back, in the same way they did to him. A new Ereshkigal who just, doesn't remember any of them...]

Well why didn't you say something when it happened?? Maybe one of us could've tried go after her!

[The bouquet of flowers Yzak got him for his birthday, planned and arranged with Ereshkigal's expertise... They're probably wilted and done by now.]

There are more than just kaiju.

And the fact that a fortified drone managed to make it through in Greece, regardless of how long it lasted, means that something is possible.

Your own report about kaiju parts as well as Raidou's regarding a cloak made of kaiju skin helping with the nightmares imply that the key to getting through a rift is using the very thing it seems to create when one is exposed to enough rift poisoning, considering those mutations are similar to the kaiju themselves.

Ratio also mentioned using this knowledge as a means to upgrade our plugsuits and fortify them better against these effects. Which is a good idea.

But this all requires study as well as well as trials to confirm it's safe to do. This is the perfect opportunity for that. Many of you on the team possess those bird drones, don't they? LILITH likely has more than just those in their arsenal. Even raw experimentation with kaiju parts and anything expendable we can send through a rift - perhaps the one near Mt. Fuji, but through any we happen to find - might prove worthwhile.

That drone from Greece managed to send something back. If we can program something into a bird drone that could try to ping her location and confirm that she's somewhere in there to send back to us, it would be a start. It would prove that she's not lost to us and it would provide data that could help advance our own endeavors to get through rifts ourselves, eventually.
