intertwinedfates: smile sad (163)

[Not in his eyes - Hiyori is a doctor, she can't have her privileges being revoked due to trying to help him out. If anything, he'd just teleport in and snatch something himself.

Bad luck, definitely. They were facing a damn shapeshifting kaiju of all things, one that was able to move where its mouth was, and after attacking it, it bit back. Literally.

One day he'll get her to meet Bakugo - the kid's almost become a substitute guide for him, scolding him when necessary, keeping him focused... All the while being a surly not-friend. It's enough to make him smile slightly as the cool water is pressed to his skin, drawing out a relieved sigh as his eyes flutter shut. He really does just want to rest, but there's so much to do...

Her response gets a wider smile, one that's not at all teasing. Hiyori makes everything better simply by being present.]
Thanks..

I appreciate it, Hiyori. You really are the best... [Even if all she does is help keep a cool cloth over his head, that would be enough for him. Leaning against her a little bit, he slouches back against the seat.]

True. Me and my foul mouth. Heh. [Nodding, he lets his hand seek out hers, fingers intertwining together while they sit there.]

I'd appreciate that, no lie. It's not the burning sensation that's rough so much as the throbbing ache, y'know? [Which is why he's trying to keep off the damn thing. If he could elevate it, that might help a little bit. But he's not about to bother Hiyori at work for something so simple. He'll live with the pain a little longer, even if it is making his head swim.

Her comment about purified water gets a snort from him.]

If only. I think I prefer fighting ayakashi to kaiju. Less hassle, less complicated, and they don't bite as hard.

[With their linked hands, he tugs her closer, hoping she lean against him despite how hot his body feels. Definitely a fever, though whether it's low grade or high is hard to tell. He definitely feels warm, though, his hand is surprisingly dry for him. Not at all clammy.]
